Hopefully by the end of the night that won't be the case. The Mavs look like they're on track for a loss and if we beat the Jazz, we move into 3rd. Of course, that would mean the Rockets would face the Clippers if the playoffs started today which is a scary thought.
I agree. I'm not as scared facing the bugaboo teams Clippers, OKC, Memphis now that Rockets have a better bench and Smith can guard those forwards.
Aside from game one, Rondo has not looked good in Dallas. I am not convinced that Rondo/Ellis backcourt can be effective.
29-6-5 on 12-19 shooting vs. Boston 2-6, 1-13, 3-7, 1-11 promptly afterwards Dude shouldn't take more than 6FG per game
Please sweet baby Jesus let Dallas sign him to a long term big money deal in the offseason please please please. He just ain't that good for Dallas.
Yup. Everyone crying after his fluke game where he hit like four threes. Law of averages, this guy is a horrendous shooter, just ignore him on the perimeter and you've got a massive advantage on defense.

nice theory, but no... You make it sounds like Rondo's playmaking has been neutralized his whole career. Obviously it hasn't, so your defensive strategy is not the simple. If you continuously back off him, that allows him to dribble right to the free throw where is passing angle are multiplied. You have to keep him out of the middle, so you have to guard him and steer him to the outside, or you just increase his passing efficiency more by giving him the middle.
