Ginobili has been useless. At this point, I wonder if Pop is considering giving T-Mac some of Gino's minutes just to see if he would deliver.
Even though his stat line isn't great, Gino's court vision and ability to see different passes is massive against the Heat.
T-Mac's actually a pretty good passer. At least give him like 5 mins to see how he fits in the game. You gotta admit, Gino has been terrible all playoffs honestly.
T-Mac is a good passer but Manu knows the system better. Knows where the players will be. He also knows the defensive scheme and is very intuitive on that end.
Gary Neal finally shows up in the playoffs. Good thing or the Spurs seeming control in the 1st half would have netted them nothing. The Spurs forcing LeBron and Wade to take mid-range jumpers is a sound strategy. They need to avoid the obvious mistake of leaving Mike Miller open. Miami should feel fortunate being down only 6 even with the two late 3-pointers. Their ability to convert live TOs is amazing sometimes. Spurs have to be more careful with the ball on the perimeter. Forget McGrady playing. He's a ball-stopper, which Pop despises and which also plays right into Miami's defense.
they did the same thing against lebron (forcing him to shoot jumpers) in 2007 and it worked perfectly. I thought LeBron improved on that aspect since then.
