damn bynum blows. becomes just another lakers frontcourt player to get dominated by gortat (seriously guys?), then takes a left-handed hook shot (seriously bynum?) and then committed an obvious foul by just slapping gortat instead of actually playing D or challenging the shot (no call i guess to make up for about 3 bad calls in a row for the magic).
no. yao and dwight have different styles. lewis actually knows his role and rarely tries to make a play (only post up and shoot 3s). mcgrady and hedo are similar in their responsibilities.
Well, so much for Nelson's passing/timing being rusty after the 4 months off. Already a couple of sick assists. EDIT: I better get out of this thread. Just remembered I'm about 5 minutes behind on the DVR lol
They play inside out like us. Nice block by Bynum, but I don't want to watch a 2nd quarter with Walton heating up.
you shouldn't be allowed to call more than one timeout the whole first half. lets get this game going, i need my sleep.
wow i saw a ton of fouls today going uncalled. then by the 4th, they'll call everything. if they call it like this, call it the entire game. don't change midway.
Has Andrew Bynum ever caught the ball and then not traveled? It doesn't seem like it. Awful footwork.
it's like bynum doesn't know he's tall. i've never seen a long, athletic center just reach in and slap almost every single time he's beat like bynum. it's like just challenging the shot never enters his mind. and they aren't even reaches to get steals, they're just huge hacks to purposely get the foul. is he stupid, poorly coached, what? and kobe just missed an open layup, geez.
i like how breen keeps saying "they're really letting them play when the magic have 12 free throws and the lakers have 2." yeah, they're certainly letting them play on one end.
has bynum ever done anything that indicates he may have practiced or planned anything out or learned anything? basically anything that isn't him just being tall with really long arms?
What do you mean? On one end, you have Dwight Howard who is the most physical center in the playoffs. The only way to stop him once you're beat is to hack him. On the other end, you have two of the softest 7 footers in the league. One is a softy finesse player and another is a low IQ slow center. They are letting them play. There have been no calls on obvious fouls on the Magic end.
Dude, chill with all the crying already. It's not even halftime. Where are your comments on what originally should have been Bynum's 3rd foul, or Gasol's flop to draw Howard's second. Truth be told they could have called more FT's for both teams (i.e. they are letting them play), but Orlando is going to the line more because they keep sending Howard there. You can't complain about the validity of any FT attempt he has taken so far.
how does kobe have 5 assists? i would've guess about 1. howard with the texas 8-step under the basket. and kobe catches a touchdown pass and brings it out for a jumper? wtf. lebron hammers that home.
and yet they somehow average more than 4 free throw attempts per game. i did comment and said it was an obvious foul. and even JVG, noted flopper-hater said that was a good call on howard. gasol didn't snap his head back or anything, he just got position and got knocked down.
