The Magic barely won them too ... both teams had a chance to win in both games. The Rockets were swept in the regular season by the Lakers and you know how little that record meant in their series.
Let's be serious folks, the fakers should take this one representing the West.. I'm tired of the East taking the title every year since the last time the Spurs won the title..
wow. funny guy. I think Orlando has a legit shot to win this. If they can move the ball around and in-and-out the way they did against the cavs.... But the Lakers are taller and more athletic defenders.
with odom, gasol, kobe, and even ariza attacking the rim......dwight howard is going to be in foul trouble the whole series pretty much.......he thought lebron got calls?? just wait.
Matchups wise, lakers have all the advantages, they have Gasol and Bynum to slow down Howard and get him into foul troubles. They have Odom/Ariza to slow both Lewis & Hedo. Kobe will have easy time on defense as both Lee and Rafer sucks! But i will see MAgic get hot on 3ptrs one game and Howard get crazy on rebounds to steal a game or 2. Lakers in 5 or 6!
Lakers in 6. I just can't imagine this Orlando team winning a Championship for some reason. I hope I am wrong though because I would like to see them do it.
Why does everyone keep saying the Lakers have Gasol & Bynum to slow down Howard? When have those two ever slowed down Howard? Has anyone actually been watching Bynum play this postseason? He still isn't really healthy. I still expect LA to win, but I expect Howard to dominate and Gasol is actually going to have to hold someone. If they stick him on Howard that will be very bad for LA, and he can't check either one of those "6-10 SG's". I will be watching to see if the action is like: "Gaosl takes Lewis in the post...score" "Lewis for 3...score" Etc....
Its going to be a great matchup. It should be a good challenge for the Orlando bigs. The lakers could exploit the Kobe Match up because Orlandoo does not have a strong shut down guy.
I hate the 2-3-2 format. I believe it's a major disadvantage for the lower seed team (Magic). With that said, I said Magic in 6. I see them taking one of the first games in LA. Losing one during the homestand and being very angry and taking game 6 to win it all.
Yeah, I hate that too. Does anyone know why the Finals are like that? I can see the advantages, travel-wise, but other than that it seems like a massive disadvantage for the lower seed. To win 3 in a row is incredibly hard. I too, cannot see the Magic winning a title, and I think LA is bound to hit their stride: Lakers in 5.
