after going through the celtics defense, then the bulls defense, the heat must be breathing a sigh of relief to face the mavs "defense".

JJ Barea will be a huge asset in this series. He can break down Bibby easily, Chalmers will have to keep him in front.

The Heat were able to focus all their defense on stopping Rose's penetration. Let's be real Bulls offense is predictable and easy to stop especially in a playoff series, all you need is a proper gameplan.

Dallas' offense is one of the best, they have a plethora of offensive options and every player can shoot the basketball. I think the series will be close and Miami won't be able to lock the Mavs down.

It's gonna come down to which team is more clutch down the stretch.

Riley is probably glad that you are not coaching the team. Do you even watch basketball?

Their defense was ranked 8th in the NBA last year. They are coached by Carlilse/Casey, two highly respected defensive masterminds in this game. They have strong defensive bigs (Chandler, Haywood) and solid perimeter defenders (Marion, Stevenson, Kidd, possibly even Butler who might play).

Their defense posed problems one of the best offensive teams in the postseason in Thunder (Durant had moments where he completely dissappeared, his percentages were lower in that series than any other series, Westbrook's percentages were downright abysmal).

Obviously the defenses of the Celtics/Bulls/Heat are better but Dallas' defense is not as horrible as you seem to think it is and they are overall a very balanced team.

Putting "defense" in quotations implies that you believe that their defense is horrible. Everyone knows this. Stop backtracking.

Yeah but Dallas is a more balanced team.

No player can stop LeBron/Wade, Dallas needs to throw different guys (possibly multiple guys) and creative defensive sets.

Marion is a better individual perimeter defender than anybody on Boston or possibly even Chicago. I know that doesn't count for much.

LeBron is one rebound away from leading his team in playoff points, rebounds and assists. All while being their primary defender.

Oh, but Dirk has been playing the best basketball this postseason.

I'd rather have Deng than Marion for guarding LeBron.

Forgot about Deng. Was thinking Brewer for some reason.

I'd rather have Marion as a defender than Pierce.

That is not what the quotations imply. I doubt anybody who read your post thought that.

I honestly do not care but the way in which it is written implies that Dallas is a horrible defensive team. It implies that the word defense is a joke.

That is not what the quotations imply TO YOU.

maybe it was condescending but no where did i imply that their defense was "horrible" :p, you came to that conclusion on your own.

I think you will see just how good they are definsively now that:

    - they are facing a team that can't exploit their weakness at PG or C

    - their best players won't have to struggle so much to score

I watched all 6 games. It was disgusting how it was handed to Miami. Tho I enjoyed it since I really hated Dallas. Yes, Dallas did make mistakes but if the refereeing was fair, Dallas would have easily won that series.
