That's alright because the heat can't hit the broad side of a barn. If it weren't for "superstar" fouls, would they even break 50 points for the game? I doubt it.
More people voted Miami in 6 than any other option. Regardless, to say Dallas has zero shot gives me reason to believe that you have not been watching Dallas this postseason.
The Mavs would have to put on a historically amazing "team first" performance to win this series. But as it stands, the Heat's Big Three trio are just too good. The Heat in 5 or 6.
Yeah, James/Wade are really scary. Should be interesting to see what Carlilse/Casey throw at them. Hopefully Butler can play so they have another body to throw (take minutes away from Terry as he is a major liability). Dallas needs to play perfect basketball. It is an uphill battle for them. I think that they have a good shot, they have been playing amazing this postseason (especially the Laker series), their experience/depth advantages can come into play on this stage but they absolutely need to play near flawless basketball.
Agreed, Dallas has been doing that this entire postseaon, question is: a) can they sustain it? b) can they do it against this team? this defense? I honestly think Miami is going to win in 5-7 but I truly hope that I am wrong (I really cannot stand Miami). I am really hoping that Carlilse/Casey has something up their sleeve in terms of defense and hoping that Dallas' poise/experience/depth advantages come into play.
I really hope that you are right. But when that fourth quarter rolls around, the Heat have two players capable of taking over (stopping one of them is a tough task). Keep in mind, Miami has homecourt advantage and probably the refs. As stated, it is an uphill battle for the Mavs. I think they are capable but they need to play near flawless.
I agree with what Kenny just said on TNT. Heat never faced a team in the East, that their 4th or 5th option can score 20 points on you at any given night. Mavs only had to stop 1 or 2 star players, now they are facing 3. It's going to be an exciting series. I've already picked Mavs in 6 when both teams were leading with 3-1 in their conference finals.
I know the regular season doesn't mean anything right now, but did these two teams ever meet up in the regular season? If so, what was the record?
On the face of it, one would think the Heat in 6 or 7. But Dallas has some things working for them. All that money Cuban put into size ...it could very well pay huge dividends in this series. Dirk is on a big roll. Marion should matchup well defensively. Depth for the Mavs Wade's health could be in question at this point? Miller is in agony out there. I would say it's a tossup with the potential for a great series......Forced to take a team I'd probably take Dallas ......
The heat also have 3 "superstars." No defense is supposed to be good enough to stop 3 guys. This underscores the fact that the heat have no offensive chemistry. ISO Lebron. ISO Wade. Frankly it's not going to be hard to defend their rudimentary offense and Dallas have the players that can do it. I really don't see it going more than 5 games, but the heat MIGHT get two games.
i disagree completely. this will be the heat's 2nd easiest series after that sixers series. boston was their biggest challenge, and the bulls' 2nd. if the thunder could score at will vs the mavs (before their inexperience showed its face in the last 7-8 minutes of the 4th), the heat will have ZERO problem scoring on the mavs. heat in 5 or 6. mavs will win game 3 and that might just be it.
