inb4lock.... The Bulls loss yesterday didn't really change anything. After losing game 2, they came in knowing that they had to win a game in Miami and 2 games later it's still the same thing. Bulls will have a strong chance of winning game 5 and game 6 it's all back to the basics. Bulls almost won in Miami in game 4 so winning in game 6 is not farfetched at all.
That statistic doesn't explain or really say much. Of those 95%, how many of those were higher seeded teams? I reckon a majority of the time the higher seeded team is up 3-1 so of course you expect them to close it out, what with games 5 and (potential) game 7 played in their court. Not to mention higher-seeded teams are usually better.
Yeah I have pretty much given up on Chicago. They might win game 5 but that would be it. The way they have been playing over the past 3 games, not even sure about how likely that is. They can not hang with Miami. I think that this thread is more than appropriate and I highly doubt that it will get locked.
A defensive minded healthy Caron Butler would help the Dallas perimeter defense of this series. Though I don't know about him being a good defender or not his athleticism and 6 fouls would have been an obstacle for Wade and James.
If they put in Caron for limited minutes, it may not be that bad. Nelson was pretty much made the starter in that Finals. But, Dallas isn't going to win the series. Miami is too strong. OKC had the last two games won, but they don't now how to close out an opponent. Plus, the Mavs were too hungry. Miami, on the other hand, is just as hungry as Dallas AND they know how to close out an opponent. Wade is playing horrible and Miami is still beating Chicago with some cushion. James, Wade, or Bosh can go for 30 any night. Bosh is playing back home, so you know he wants to show up big in Dallas. Sorry, but it doesn't look good for Dallas. Mavfans better enjoy this while it lasts.
I don't think anyone is as hungry as Dallas, but I agree that they are the serious underdogs in this Finals. While they are about as good as the team they had in '06 (which is a really underrated team), Miami is much better than the team they fielded then AND they have HCA. That said, if their shooters can get hot for 4 games they have a chance. My pick: Heat in 6.
What makes you think Dallas is any hungrier than the Miami players who have never won (LeBron, Bosh, Big Z, Bibby, Howard, Dampier)? The Mavs won't be killed if they lose. It's win or bust for Miami.
Just found out I'm good to go for the finals! Awesome times. :grin Now the Heat just need to finish off the Bulls tonight and we'll be ready to rumble.
Following a bit in the Bulls-Heat thread, I suddenly realized that there are so many Heat fans here. All the hate-the-Mavs talk may just be an excuse for some people to cheer for the Heat.
