"This role is easy for me," McGrady said. "Certain guys understand the game a lot more than others, like me and Grant (Hill in Phoenix). "Not only are we skillful, but we have a high basketball IQ. You can have guys who are as athletic as hell in this league, but if they were to lose their athleticism, then they don't have the skills to be effective.''

-I'm still a Tmac fan, but ******* this guy's a douche. I don't think I've ever read about a guy boasting about how high his b-ball IQ was.

LOL you just can't resist can you Tinman? Let it go dude. Let. it. Go. Tmac's carried us a lot of games during his career, and he was easily the best player in the Rockets during playoffs. Hell, he even got us KM, Jordan Hill and a bunch of Knicks goodies when he left. I simply don't see why you keep b****ing about him when he's been an asset his entire career here.

Come on guys..why the hate? T-Mac is back to his old self and is enjoying a successful run in the league now that he's finally injury-free and thats great.

Guys, I don't want us to be like bitter Cleveland fans. T-Mac/LeBron/Iverson carried their teams on their backs and took them further than they would've ever achived without them.

Those players gave it their all and left their hearts and lungs out there on the court and too bad, things didn't work out as well as it could have. Well now they've found success elsewhere, wish them well and get on with the job at hand.

McGrady didn't go on a "McDecision" and backstab all Houstonians and Rockets fans. He got injured. We all seem to find faults and want to criticise each other no matter how good of a job they've done for us. When Carmelo scores 30 a night, we start calling him a ballhog and selfish ego-centric nutcase player. When Rondo goes and gets a mind-boggling 14 assists per game average, we start accusing him of stat-padding. Now those guys are good guys, so Kevin Garnett quit on Minnesota? Is Deron Williams quitting on Utah just because he is publically complaining about the lack of support he is getting? Is Carmelo a quitter? Well if he is, we all seem to want him. Now what does that tell you?

We need a desalinization plant in here for all the salty people.

While Morey keeps tinkering with spreadsheets and D-League steals like Courtney Lee to stay competitive in the race for the 8th spot, x-factors with a chip on their shoulder are now regaining health.

And you best watch out. Cuz Tracy is animal.

He has a point. His vision and ability to create plays is the only reason he's still in the NBA since he lost most of his athleticism. Steve Francis is a good example of a player not being much after he lost his athleticism.

    Tracy McGrady

    2005 playoffs:

    30.7 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 6.7 apg

    2007 playoffs:

    25.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg, 7.3 apg

    2008 playoffs:

    27 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 6.8 apg

Say what you want about McGrady, but you can't knock his effort/production in the playoffs.

The Jazz were a bad matchup for Houston. The Rockets had the Mavericks' series until Mark Cuban started complaining about Yao's "moving screens."

It didn't help when flying Bowen became our starting forward.
