this is great news for the future of the rockets organization. tmac playing here for a drastically reduced salary could be the exact signing that will keep this team competitive as morey continues to build our rocket empire. if tmac is worked back into the rotation and earns the trust of his teammates, this team can still make a little noise in the playoffs. and if he is REALLY committed to winning for the last few stages of his career, this may be the tmac we need for this team to be successful. caustiously optimistic... go rockets!
to much hate here. I would like to see the Post Game Thread of the Spurs game 2006...he is still a rocket(so i stay behind him) and if he sign for low...he got my endless respect.
It looked like 4 v 5 on occasion. A few times he was standing closer to the HC line than the top of the 3pt line.
The next few weeks will give us a good idea if McGrady is worth re-signing. I think Morey would probably do it for the right price if McGrady can still play at a high enough level.
this is true but its also true that theres no way of knowing if the rockets sacrifice a few games to get him healthy that they wont win more games because of it, i mean say what you will about the man but even at say 85% he can change the dynamic of a game I could understand if it was another player but i mean it is carmelo anthony, leading scorer in the nba, despite my name i am not a TOF, im a rockets fan i will end this by saying that as much as i think tmac will make this team better it better come at the expense of ariza and battiers minutes, Chase is the future...right now
I like the part where Ruler says: "We're trying to change the way we play a little bit and get our younger players to improve this year. And, if we can keep improving and keep being a factor and effective, then we start adding good players back and we're a better team than we were before.'' I think Rick wants to have this year for the young guys to improve while Yao and T-Mac heal up. Unfortunately, this being T-Mac's contract year, it faks things up. I hope they get on the same page and T-Mac knows that Rick has dealt with this in the past with Webber. And i really hope the Rockets and T-Mac agree on maybe a 1 year deal next year when T-Mac is 100% and were reloaded, then after that year, T-Mac can go for the appropriate contract.
And damn near everyone who guarded Melo including Battier. So what's your point? Melo has become, I dare say, a beast on the offensive end. He creates so much contact and is extremely strong.
Nice, if he does contribute to the rockets and take a drastic pay cut (5mil per year) instead of 20 million a year. Still needs to rehab his left knee and not have another setback.
So a lot of people say Tmac is too honest to the media and just say whatever on his mind. And now when he doesn't say sth you want to hear it's "take 99% with a gran of salt"? Make up your mind people, geez, the man has been horrid last year to the team and we all mostly hated the way he handled things. But at least be consistent in your comment, the man has been criticised for anything he does. Right or wrong.
