So are you imagining a player such as Tony Parker or Brandon Roy? That would be fantastic, albeit unrealistic option for the Rockets. Most likely a player of that calibre would relegate Aaron Brooks to a reserve role.

Not at all, a talented wing scorer that can also create a little bit would be great....

CBud might get there, Trevor and Shane never will.....

Tracy was when he was younger and healthy......we need to find a replacement......

Whatever one might think of a McGrady....

Whenever a player wants to stay in a city and has made it his home, and is willing to take less money to stay...that's a really awesome thing. As a fan you can't complain about that.

That will play itself out. No one knows for sure how T-mac will adjust and how his body will respond. Not us, not Adelman, not Morey, and not T-mac.

I like what Adelman is doing. Bringing him back very slowly and cautiously. And I like how T-mac is playing. He's addressed all of your critcisms.

Now we just have to see if he can regain his explosiveness and then learn to integrate it within the team's style. He's definitely trying...

This is untrue. 8 minutes is a huge amount of time to have a player out on the court. Last night, Tracy's 8 minutes cost the Rockets the momentum and the lead. I don't think you believe what you just said.

Regarding Tracy coming back for cheap: I'm down if the guy wants to come back for MLE type money if he can shoot over 43% and be at least an average defender. I figure that type of McGrady could put up awesome MLE player numbers in 25 minutes a night.

It won't ever happen but I would do it.

relax dude, he has looked fine moving and that's the thing we all wanted to see. he's limited in 8 minutes of play and in the back of his mind, he can't force the issue on offense b/c it's a new offense. what do you want him to do? go out and pick and roll and be the first option all in those 8 minutes? GTFO.

the fact that he's running great, and wants to guard the best player. THAT'S THE KEY. the rest will come.

and he's saying he's going to be close to 100% (90% is close). and he's right. with this injury, usually people come back after ONE YEAR. he's coming back in 10 months. and you're not really yourself usually the first year after you come back from an injury. but he looks like he'll be close.

What's the over/under on games before Tracy complains about touches/Rick's style/shots?

He has played two already. I say before his 6th game back we get a "I can't return to the player I once was without my touches" statement.

He has not addressed all the concerns at all, there is a body of work which suggests otherwise.

But, for now, it is all about whether he can get back to the explosive player becuse right now, he is wasting time on the court, time that other players could use to develop....

If Chase Budinger were to join the ranks of the great dynamic creators of the NBA, then he would indeed be in the class of Brandon Roy, and the lot of us humble fans will be counting championship rings.

I am not looking for a dynamic creator...that would be GREAT...but if Chase could develop consistency, and occassional creativity along with quality shot making that would be more than enough.

Too hash! Tmac is still a great passer. Actually, I think he is still the best passer to pass the ball to Yao.

McGrady at 70% can't help the Rockets right now, he simply can't do the things this team needs. At 85% he would be our best player and you would have to retool the offense to accommodate him which would ultimately hurt the team even more than having a 70% McGrady out there playing.

He doesn't fit... this year. We aren't going anywhere, so let him play, lets see what he has left. Next year with Yao, he can actually fit in and become effective again. Maybe even a force. If we can get him at a reduced price, Les bites a bullet and we use the MLE on another addition... maybe Yao/T-Mac have one more shot?

Right now I pretty much want McGrady to disappear. But his insane talent level is always at the back of my head. Morey's too from the way he used to talk about the guy. You can't add someone of that caliber very easily.

If they trade him fine by me. If he sticks around, I still have some hope.

I am not very high on Bundinger now. Actullay, Head was not worse than Bundinger in his rookie season. We will see.

Budinger will reach that milestone sooner rather than later. Most likely at the dawn of the 2010-2011 season, after a year of rookie seasoning, he will develop his confidence and preparation for games. I believe his court vision is far beyond what any credible NBA observer has forseen!

    How is it harsh?

I believe in a meritocracy, if Tracy can beat someone out, he plays, if not, he sits.

    Injuries happen, doesn't mean squat.....

Put the best players on the floor that give you the best chance at winning THAT day......

Tmac is not one of those players right now....

I agree, he has only scratched the surface and is only 21 years old.

We have 16 minutes to judge him on so far. In that time, he has not been a ball stopper, he has not been a volume shooter, he has hustled on D, and he has been moving without the ball.

I would say that he's do the best he can to address concerns.

As for wasting time on the court - his passing was pretty fantastic yesterday. Not a waste - but you are entitled to making an opinion of course.

And frankly, if Ariza has to look over his shoulder in terms of playing time and how he plays, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

    Chase will get his time.

Yep, he and Morey run the team, not everyone has the same philosophy.

Of course, they also know all the details of what is going on, so it is like Holdem, they know all the cards, I am dealing with incomplete information.

He's showcasing McGrady. No other reason why he would throw him out there and potentially cost the Rockets a win like he did last night.
