This what can happen when you let idiots talk too much.

Let's face it Dwayne is probably on par with a highschool freshman in terms of intellect.

    smh.....wow.

I agree...society is a lot more PC nowadays, but the WTC thing is not part of a 'wussified' society. It is something that very tragically happened to us Americans, and SHOULD have had some impact to every American. For him to compare his petty game of basketball to that tragedy is absolutely ridiculous. That is quite possibly the dumbest comparison I've ever heard/read.

I think we may be beginning to see the true color of Dwyane Wade.

Wade is actually not Batman. He is Robin. Pat Riley is the real Batman, an evil Batman. Bosh is Catwoman. Lebron is Joker who decides to join force with the evil Batman.

It's just a dumb thing to say that's why. I'm usually on the athletes side...but come on.

This is just general common sense. You can't compare losing a few games to lives being lost.

Come on, guys, we've all made off-color jokes with our friends that we immediately wish could take back. His only crime is doing it during a publicly reported interview.

Not even close to comparable, why the hell would he even use that as a reference? Must be all the air going to his head, I honestly don't think the Heat are better than the Lakers and won't be until they actually start playing. Seriously why would be joke about something like that?

So people are going to panic, cry, and seek vengeance and manslaughter if they lose games?

    That's a lot of pressure.

Yes, that's what we're all criticizing him about. No one gives two poops when you're talking with your friends like that, but for a national celebrity and a sports superstar, he should know better.

We've all said things much worse so many times, except not in front of the media. That's why he's a idiot.

As someone has said many times before, Consequences will never be the same!

If he wanted to go world events or go political, he could have chosen the gulf oil spill this summer or even global warming.

What I like about a global warming analogy is that people will be looking at every little statistic to try to figure out if the Big 3 are getting worse or playing worse, etc. It will be really intense and I look forward to ignoring those analyses. I just hope they run a lot and are fun to watch.

    The transcript was supposedly wrong:

Dwyane Wade is caught up in a 9/11 controversy after a transcription error suggested that the Miami Heat star compared losing several games to the World Trade Center "coming down." While Wade did indeed mention the collapse of the World Trade Center in a Sunday interview, his actual remarks are far tamer than what was originally circulated.

In an interview with NBA FanHouse, Wade said that the Heat will be a major target during the next NBA season:

"We enjoy the bullseye. Plus, there's going to be times when we lose 2-3 games in a row, and it seems like the world has crashed down. You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade is coming down again, but it's not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games."

According to a post at the Sporting Blog, Wade's comments were initially published differently. "If we lose a couple in a row this season, it will be like the World Trade (Center) is coming down again," Wade was originally reported to have said.

NOBODY in their right mind would compare a Heat losing streak to the WTC tragedy!

    What a freakin MORON!

How do you compare one of the biggest tragedies in American history to losing freakin BASKETBALL GAMES??

Just lost even MORE respect for Wade..
