Talk in the media or talk on a bunch of fan blogs and boards? If you can't produce a link don't expect to get away with making claims you can't support.
or maybe our team is better than years' past? (when healthy of course). no longer do you run out rafer for 40+ mins if he sucks (go to brooks) no longer do you just kick it out to those shooters who bricks (go to ron) i dont know, maybe we're just a better team with better players who actually can make shots. it's like the celtics. maybe, just maybe they acquired 2 all-stars and then won the ring.
Bottom line, the coach is the coach. He's the one who calls the shots. If he wants to play the system the players have got to fall in line.
i'm making claims that richard justice (an esteemed writer or at least gets enough respect to go on ESPN quite often and talks) has to defend against? you really think teh chron has nothing to do except tell richard justice to write an actual article about the fan blogs? do you really argue just to argue? i mean seriously.
you're right. and one of his philosophy, like all good coaches, is let your best players take over when the game is on the line. look you saw how tracy did last year (i clearly don't know why you still question whether he can fit in this offense or not). i'm like scratching my head here. they'll run whatever rick wants them to run. but i GUARANTEE you, when times get tough: we'll run these plays 1) post up to yao 2) pick and roll tracy 3) high post tracy or iso him
Agreed. T-Mac will fit into the offense fine and there's no way in hell we're running a play for Von Wafer or Aaron Brooks or Luther Head in the waning moments of a game. Even if they are on fire. That's for earlier in the game. You give it to your money-men. Maybe someone else will take the shot, but it's the big guns who will have the ball. Only in extreme cases will that not happen. The real bottom line: You've got to make your shots.
my problem with badgerfan and a few other posters is: tracy proved he can play whatever way adelman wanted him to play last year. and given his unselfishness, he'll do whatever the team needs him to do. and they seem like when tracy comes back, he'll hinder the team. and all i can do is SMH. i mean, tracy should be THE LEAST of our problems WHEN HE DOES PLAY. and i agree to whatever you said.
I think that sports writers discuss what the fans are talking about and thinking about all the time. I'd also say that sports writers write about the relationship between athletes and fans all the time. Dude, the fact is you can't find any quotes and now you're waving your hands in the air trying to make stuff up.
The soldiers fight the war, but it's the officers who call the shots. I think we all know what happens to soldiers who disobey orders...
You don't even know how many times Adelman has been to the Finals so how do you know what his coaching philosophy is? Here's a tip: if you want to see what Adelman does under pressure go back and look at old Kings games. Or even games earlier this season or last season. If Adelman calls a time out and draws up a play I think there's about zero chance that it's going to call for an isolation on the wing. I don't recall him drawing up a lot of pick and rolls either...
I'm not saying that T-Mac will hinder the team when he comes back unless he refuses to play the offense. It's a mental thing, not a physical one. Will he? I'm guessing there's a better than 50% chance that he'll fall in line. Yao, Artest and the rest of the team will put pressure on him to fall into line. The same thing happened last year after he sat out and the team started winning.
Haha so it's war is it? I didn't know soldiers were paid so much higher than officers? T-Mac will not refuse to play the offense.
i specifically separated my comments into different paragraphs in the previous post. what you did is to critisize my personal view on rehab issue. hey, don't forget this my own view. i am not a doctor or rehab expert. you are not doctor either. your critisizm may very well be wrong. you really missed my main point of my previous post - stop dragging yao into the fight on rationalizing tmac action. btw, you mixed up two things together. whether he can play or not or how much time he can play in each game after surgery is decided by doctor. whether his performance on court earns his playing time is decided by coaches. The first question has been answered many times. yes, he can play with limited amount of time. The second question was answered by ra. tmac can contribute more than scoring points. if you think tmac picked the right time to shut him down after battier came back, then he should let the team instead of himself to announce the issue. have you ever listened the audio clip of ra talking about tmac after a practice. it's on clutchfans front page. you can feel ra was caught off guard. you can feel ra was upset. as long as morey talking about tmac shutdown, it was a few days after chaos. as gm, he had to come out to clear up the thing. everyone pretty much knows what he was going to say. he won't pour more gas into fire. if he did, he would have been either fired or tmac would have been shipped already.
again, when has he refused to play the offense? if the role players do what they do, he'll do what he does. you should worry about ron. he STILL hasn't ran whatever you say is "adelman's" offense.
If what T-Mac does is hang onto the ball and be a black hole on offense there's going to be drama and problems. I'm not expecting that that will be the case however. Last year he came back and he did an okay job of limiting his shots and improving his shot selection and passing. This year there's going to be even more pressure on him to conform. Also Artest is now a Rocket. Finally the Rockets are most likely going to be running their offense through Yao. Artest came awfully close in the GS game and he's gotten better as the season progresses. And if you don't know what the Adelman offense is, how do you know if Artest is playing it or not?
Lets see what he does when he gets back and then we can see whats going to happen with him and what he can do for us. Lets let his actions prove what he's about and then I think the debate of T-Mac will be done. He has the players this year to help him. Please sign another big man who can rebound please Morey!!!!!!!!!!
