Never mind. I forgot that you don't need to match salaries, if one team is below the cap. The Rockets would get a trade exception back.

God, did we get some clown from the ESPN boards who's twelve years old, can't spell, and acts like a grade school dropout? How did we get so lucky? And more to the point, why is this running mouth (and running joke) still here?

At the very least, he should have a red square. I'm thinking the one in Moscow. That's far enough away... maybe.

I wish people would get over having Rubio. I seriously doubt that Morey is trying all of this to get Rubio when it makes much more sense to do it for one of this years picks. We have to address our back-up center problem, not fulfill last years fantasy. Besides Rubio is having alot of success overseas and will probably be there another year or so. Also it would not make sense to trade a top 3/4 pick to acquire Bosh when we already have enough talent to do so. Because there is too much talent involved in this draft, Morey wants that pick for the future of the franchise. Hopefully he will be able to do so without the use of our 14th. Either way, we are set to get a good addition to the team through the draft.

My favorite is typing "kno" instead of "know". Good stuff.

    Agree or Disagree? Explain...

    14. Houston Rockets – Xavier Henry, SG, Kansas: The burly shooting guard didn’t lead Kansas to NCAA tournament glory. He did prove to be a reliable outside shooter, though, going 41.8 percent from 3-point range. A typical up-and-down freshman, Henry averaged 20.8 points during one four-game stretch of the Big 12 season and 5.5 points in another.

Disagree. We already have Taylor and Martin. We need a shot blocker.

"If" we stay at 14th I would disagree with that projection, I'd rather go with a high ceiling 7'ft prospect in Whiteside or Motiejunas ... than go with a back-up SG

But with that said I think were going to move up in the draft to either get Cousins or Monroe...

Can the mods change the title, it's too vague....not sure if this even belongs here, but maybe we can just make it into a mock draft thread.....either way, most of them have houston taking Whiteside.

im not sold on Cousins...and i think the team would rather get a legit center like Whiteside instead of another PF....if they move up i think their target is someone else.

Hopefully, the best player available is a big man, though Morey will probably rank talent over need, as he should.

IF we draft at #14 it will probably be the best player available regardless of position. that being said, henry will not be the best player available. most likely, the BPA will be a big guy since this draft is (thankfully) loaded with them.

if there are no bigs that morey likes at #14, i would bet the pick will be traded.

On the contrary, I feel the exact opposite. Morey has shown that he can get a wing player through other means(Artest, Budinger, Taylor, Martin, Ariza). But legit centers are simply ridiculously overpriced on the market. And he's having a hard time obtaining them: Landry's undersized, Andersen is kind of a bust, Dorsey was a bust, Scola was the only hit and we're kind of lucky).

If a big man with legit size(6-10+) is rated a bit lower than a guard, then you take the big man. The key is the pick's talent relative to the alternatives, not overall talent. Similar to the concept of opportunity cost in economics.
