Hopefully Stern gives us the pick. He gave it to the Clippers 2 years ago. I doubt he'll give it to them again so soon.
First, be wary of Enes Kanter -- he has Greg Oden knees. Second, before we draft a PG, does anybody have a progress report on Sergio Llull? Third, aside from draft picks, what do we have to offer for Ricky Rubio, especially considering how young Minnesota already is? If they took our draft picks for Rubio, how are we going to acquire a center like Jonas Valanciunas? Afterall, we need a center worse than a PG.
I think we need a SF more than a center or a PG. Jeffrey Taylor would fit perfectly with the Rockets. He could even contribute early with his defense.
As long as you have 25% to win the lottery, you has 75% to lose it  who was the last team that won the lottery with the worst record? Tracy's Magic
Everybody is hyping Perry Jones, but he sounds a little raw to me. I want a quick rebuilding plan not a one were a player takes his 4 year rookie contract to develop.
Well you know, I think the past few years have given us some good lessons: Potential, no matter how great, is meaningless if: 1) There are motor issues -Carter, Tmac, Eddy Curry 2) Creaky knees -greg oden 3) headcase problems -Cousins, Stephon Marbury 4) no skillset -Green, Joe Alexander From what I've sen so far the most "safe" picks actually fall into two categories: 1) Ultra athletic pgs who don't have r****ded b-ball iqs (Wall, Rose, Jennings) 2) Well rounded but explosive sgs (Brandon Roy, Eric Gordon, Stephen Curry ) If you want an instant impact but superstar potential pick its gotta be one of those two. As far as the depth of the talent pool I don't really believe its gonna be shallow. I mean, this year was supposed to be loaded and full of high impact big men, right? Well so far the most promising big in this draft is Derrick Favors and he averaging under 10 pts a game. Larry Sanders, Demarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson, Whiteside...after John Wall nobody is really knocking anyone's socks off.
Question. If they do have a lockout will the draft still happen at the same time or will it happen after the lockout?
The Clippers stepped-up tonight and beat the Hornets, so Houston picked up a full game in the ping pong ball chase!
Very versatile, long SF, but his jumper's questionable. He's got game, but we desperately need a center, and point guard's another area of concern. By the way, Jones dropped 29 on 12-17, snagged 13 boards, and had 4 blocks tonight against Oklahoma.
I'd rather not get the worst record in the NBA. Those projected to get the #1 pick almost never get it.
This organization ripped my heart out and buried it in an inner city dumpster with the 1998 draft -- 3 "mid-first rounders," and we end up with: 14. Michael Dickerson 16. Bryce Drew 18. Mirsad Turkcan
But I think they made up for it with Cuttino Mobley in the 2nd round. Sure wished they would have picked Rashard Lewis with one of those picks though. I know he's not the stud that some thought he was but there's not a GM in the world that wouldn't take him over Mirsad.
