The NBA dish has been around forever, I don’t think changing it or renaming it would be a good idea. I would say delete the college forum and it can be assumed that the college information will go in the hangout. I’ve been here 4 1/2 years and I didn’t know we had a college forum until this thread popped up
no merge for me.. I like college in college, and other nba in the Dish but if you must... call it the O'BARF Other Basketball And Related Forum Or the FUBARF For Un-Rocket Basketball And Related Forum
Merging is probably the best idea. But another option is to make a new main category. The Dish doesn't really fit with the Let's Talk Rocks area. Maybe make a new section called "The League" and make "The Dish" and "The DItCH" (Draft, International, and College Hoops") the subsections for it.
1. I think it would be OK to see March Madness threads in the Dish, also it would be interesting to see tidbits about international teams/players once in awhile without having to go to another forum. So yeah, I say go ahead and merge. 2. The new name is so obvious I can't believe anyone's said it - "Hoops Dish"
I vote for a sub-forum in The Dish. Merge them, but keep them seperate. I don't follow college hoops but when I go to The Dish, I like to see all NBA threads.
I think this is a great idea but I would go farther and merge also the Rockets Classifieds: Buy/Sell/Trade, that way we would have the..... Forum Uniting College Basketball Keepsakes and Memorabilia International and NBA Hoops Now to think of a catchy anagram........
I vote keep them separated because I don't want the "College, International Hoops & NBA Draft" forum diluted by the Dish. The CIHND gets few views, but tends to have a greater percentage of original content than the GARM and the Dish. Its not as active as the other forums, but it has its advantages to being slow. Someone started a thread about Julius Hodge and now I plan to watch the NC State/Wisconsin game to see him. If there is something post worthy I see, the thread is still going.
LOL Also a newbie forum which all newbie should test post there so we don't have to see all these pointless threads getting started.
