That was a badass mixtape...since I'm in Austin I only got to see about 3 of those games...that Novak shot was MONEY!
Thanks for the link. This a great string of highlights. My favorite part is the end of #7...after McGrady's huge block, the camera cuts over to Deke cheering on the bench. But if you look at Adelman next to him, he starts pointing to one of the guys. I like to think he's giving a finger wag though.
Those are amazing plays by T-mac, but the so-called top ten is quite useless. Yao, dishing it out to an open teammate is just as effective as some of those passes, but no plays on him. Alston has made some amazing shots but is not on the top ten? They are just riding his nutz right now, wouldn't put too much stock into this.
Novak is half the reason we are on such a long streak, I love him just for that shot, saved our season.
All those highlights bring up such great memories. I was watching that kings game with a lot of non Rockets fans and they didn't understand why I was going so crazy after that Novak shot. Its a perfect example of how everyone on our team is firing on all cylinders. Keep the streak alive Rockets!
NOVAAAK #1 baby! everyone has had their part in the streak thats whats beautiful about it. From Deke, Chuck, Novak, Landry, Scola, all the starters, bobby jackson, luther great team ball!
Man that Novak shot was gutsy. I still remember how depression turned into utter elation after that play. Still thanking God they were able to pull out that little miracle.
I see Adelman's offense working for those guys. The cuts and the movement is something that allowed some great spacing and ultimately for those passes are great. This is something that would've never happened under the old asst coach. Good to see they are finally having fun and winning games too.
The thing I liked most about that shot is how Novak started running back and away as soon as he shot it - dude KNEW it was going in, the same way Bird would sometimes know. In a couple of years, we should be seeing that kind of thing on a regular basis.
