He was hobbled in the playoffs. He'll be 26 in July. Glad he's in Houston. He's the type of gritty, dirty work role player championship teams need.

Hibbert and Beverley for all-defensive team is ridiculous..I love me some hustle and cannot deny Beverley is great sometimes, but he's not a stopper, tends to be overaggressive where he leaves his team vulnerable and was too much injured this year to give a fair judgment.

I am convinced that this is just another post by Clutch to bait the LOF.

He was so busy covering for Lin's crap all the time. It's like he always had to cover both guards at the same time.

Good defender for sure. But it is easy to remember his highlights and not his mishaps especially when you are rooting for him.

That's like the complete opposite of human nature, people remember negative things, not positive things. There isn't a single player in the league, regardless of how good at defense they are that doesn't have dozen of mistakes in any given season, you remember Beverley's because you watch him and are naturally inclined to remember them.

check how many games he missed for the first season as a starter.
he's either an injury prone with the defense intensity, or a useless scrub if ease up for on offense it's literally 4 on 5.

And how does that apply to us?

The potential championship teams are Miami, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City. We don't have anybody who could start for a championship team, at least a 2014 championship team, except for Howard. Unless . . .

Asik might actually be able to start for any of the three at center. Oklahoma City, yes. Miami probably with Bosh playing stretch four. San Antonio, I think so but Splitter has been pretty good (current matchup situation with Oklahoma City notwithstanding.)

Harden would probably start for Oklahoma City now and he might be able to start at point guard for Miami.

I think Beverley would fit with Miami perfectly and I think they would start him at point guard. So, to respond to your statement directly, I think Beverley would be a starting point guard on a championship team . . . if that team were Miami.

Do it in the playoffs and maybe it might matter.

Bev is tough, but he's built kind of fragile. He plays too hard, and too long to not sustain injuries and illness over the course of an 82 game season. McHale has been unwise to overplay guys like Bev during the regular season and in which case they get down and tired near the end of the season and literally break down come playoff time. Same thing happened, though to a somewhat lesser degree, to Harden and Parsons near the end of last season. :(

He plays recklessly getting himself into foul trouble and he's injury proned.

His on the ball defense is great in the full-court press, but if it's understanding his opponent he's behind others.

Tony Allen right now is still the best.

A true NBA tough guy. Fortunately, he isn't one of those dumb tough guys who thinks blowing in great player's ears will have an impact on their game.

Didn't he average double figures as a starter in his first full season in the league?

Good defenders tend to average more fouls than mediocre ones but even with that, here are the facts: Beverley played in 62 games this season and fouled out a total of 5 times...and 3 of those were overtime games.

I love Bev's heart, but he's severely overrated at this point.

Check Bev.'s stats against Lillard, Curry and CP3.

They played better and better against Bev. as the season progress.

It's because the scouting reports made them prepared, not Bev.'s injury.
