wanna see Argentina make it to the finals and win it all. I don't care, I want them to beat team USA and I want Scola winning MVP. rooting for Argentina today.
lol and to think them boys be trippin when we shipped out landry. seriosuly though, good for him. the man is like a frickin machine doing work on a daily basis. scola, you're my boy blue!!
Yeah, I hope Rick uses Scola as a weapon and has Yao coming from the post to find the open spot cutting to the basket. Vise Versa for Scola for the jumper or the layup. That's a nice combo, a big big man with a nice touch and a crafty vet with the hustle of a 18yr old, and a nice shot. These two are gonna work good together and Scola is gonna complement Yao making Yao more effective.
This. Just what I have been stating for a long time now. Adelman and Scola's team mates need to recognize the gem that they have in Scola and keep looking for him in the offense. They will realize that he is almost open and in position to score. Pass him the ball!!
Wow, 37 points is impressive, especially when you play Brazil and shoot 70%. But come on, we knew Scola was good. I was just shocked that he would adapt to the NBA is such a short time. This guy can do anything. Defense may be the only problem for him in the NBA because you have so many big bodies to guard but look for him to have 20 ppg season next year, especially with Yao still having limited minutes. The best part about Luis for me, is that his jump shot 14-18 ft outside is DEADLY.
I can't find the thread of the spurs fan saying tha Splitter was as good as Scola, I want the same stuff he's smoking  Poor Splitter, he's surely a good guy, but today, in the losing team he had 10 points while Scola had 37 taking the whole Argentinian NT on his back... BTW, just remember that Scola was a 20/10 guy in NBA while he had more minutes, after the Landry trade....Scola is a great guy, and would be a letheal weapon if Rick want to take advatage of his huge talent...the downside is that Scola is so team oriented, that he would never complain if no plays are drawn for him to Score...
as a player? when scola starts shooting 3's then maybe, Ginobili can do everything else plus play better defense as a competitor? No Ginobili had actually put an NBA team's on his back in playoff and finals situtations and won games and of course lead Argentina to the Gold Medal in 2004
in 2004 Scola has as good stats as Ginobili, and intangibles too....BTW, he had 25 pts and 11 rebounds in the title game....So, it was not like Ginobili was the clear MVP, it was more likely a co-mvp situation between the 2 of them.
