Our lockerroom is already an issue, Rondo is not the ideal guy to throw in there without the right veterans arround him. Even then it's a problem, cause he butted heads with several team mates as well.

He also averaged 11.1 assists a game. This is a guy who averaged a triple double for a playoff series. Other than scoring he does everything better than lin.

Rondo is certainly not an ideal fit. With Harden and Parsons racking 8 assists per game a pass first point guard is certainly not a priority.

Just wait till the playoffs when you will be cringing everytime Lin, Beverley, Harden or Parsons are bringing the ball up the court.

Honestly I have no issues with any of them bringing the ball up the court. A full court press is not something you see often in an NBA game.

either way it's ok. rondo has a ring. the team at this point i don't think has anyone with a ring so usually a player with a championship can help you to understand what it takes to get to the next level.

It's not about a full court press per say, it's about none of them except Beverley knowing when to pull back, Lin, Harden and Parsons force the action which end up costing us possession after possession. In the playoffs our team will be forced to run a half court offense and our team as constructed will fail at that because our half court offense is Iso Harden.

Was that a real ring or a Chalmers ring, riding the back of HOF players?

Hacking Rondo doesn't work? Hacking only works if someone shoots <55%

LOL, check the stats....Rondo was a big question mark back then, he wasnt handling the ball like he does today. Once he grew to that player, you saw what happened, everybody's gone.

This thread is stupid for 2 simple reasons...

    1) Rondo won't trade Rondo
    2) Morey/Les won't trade Lin (Market, Ceiling and fit value)

Very much a Chalmers ring. SOme of these fans here have terrible memories. THe Rajon Rondo in 2008 was not even close to the guy he is today. He was A HUGE question mark. He was considered the weak link at the time. He wasnt even playing 30 minutes a game. Paul Pierce pretty much had the same number of assists in a James Harden type role.

bingo. It's funny how the loud few that wants lin gone now are open to the idea that harden should change into an off the ball scorer and that we need a pg that dishes out assists. Unless Rondo can clone kevin garnett, who was the x factor in defending pick and rolls against boston, rondo would be chasing his matchup just like bev and lin.

Coming off a knee injury with no visual performance to go on, Bad three point shooter, can't get to the line and when he does only hits 64% of the trade, does not have the making of a maury move.

And If rondo was a franchise star, he would net you at least Harden.
Guess people have given up hope for the asik for Love straight up deal

    Heheheheheheheheheheheheh(insert alexander's evil laugh)

when it counted he was the main one on the floor and he was a starter who ran the offense and didn't choke or screw it up and it's a team game so who's to say without him they don't get a ring?

if the celtics weren't involved i'd say it was stupid but as long as mchale is coach you never know because he is by nature joined at the hip with the celts

    Are you sure?
If you can get Rondo, Harden and Howard in a team you've got your big 3.
Even if Rondo had a bad injury he won't lose his skills. And you have some months till the PO start.

Now Asik's trade value is still high, Lin's trade value is high and Rondo's value is a bit lower than a healthy Rondo.

It makes sense for both teams.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1519838-kobe-bryant-loves-everything-about-rajon-rondo-dishes-lakers-celtics-and-more

    Kobe Bryant on Rondo:

"You don't want Rondo? Send him my way," Kobe declared. "I love everything about him. Everything. I love his attitude, I love his chippiness, his edge, his intellect, his know-it-allness. All of it. That's what makes championship players.

"What guard have you seen at his size that will get you 18 assists, 17 boards and 20 points all in one game? That's unheard of. I love that kid. I always make a point of talking to him during All-Star [Weekend]. He's one of my favorites."
