The Rockets are who they are. If the Rockets aren't living up to fan expectations...clutchfans is the one that should be getting the C-.
i give you an A for using "you're" and "your" right in a sentence. i can't remember the last time someone did that.
I'd give them a D. Fact is, if they had D, they wouldn't get a D. Seriously though, when you compare realistic expectations with actual results, the only grade possible is F.
How is a B grade not fair? With all the handwringing on the board you would think this team is lottery bound. Instead it's 31-20, and in a 3-way tie for 4th place in the Western Conference right now. That's not bad. Plus we haven't even mentioned they have won over 60% of their games despite having Artest, T-Mac and Yao play a limited amount of games as a unit.
We've had the most inconsistent roster in the NBA. Given our record, a B+ for coaching is well deserved.
Some may put that down to coaching. I put it down to the bench stepping up. The coaching cost us a few games if you watched any.
I agree with DD and whoever else said C-. IMHO its the perfect grade for both this team and the coaching. When you look at the record its definitely worth a B, however you miss out on the fact that this team had like 100% more wins against winning teams than against losing teams. That's definitely a sign of a team being mentally weak and shooting itself in the foot game after game. If we had put those lottery teams away like we did the winning teams, then there's no telling how high our record would have been. As it is we're practically clinging into the "middle of the pack" status. The coaching has been especially dissapointing for me this season. Based on his teams before and people described his system I totally expected Rick Adelman to be a substitution genius and an on-the-fly playmaking master, since his system seemed to be a freeflowing and fluid one. Instead what I saw so far was someone who doesn't know how to teach defense, who stuck with predetermined rotations, and most of all someone who has absolutely blind loyalty to starters, even if it meant taking out the players who had gotten the lead in the first place. The B+ grade on coaching is a joke; I would argue against anyone that the coaching (or lack of) had cost us as many games as the Tmac/Ron drama that happened. A C- for below expectations sounds about right. Starters: F- Bench: A+ Coaching: C- Total: C-
As an aside I would have to say the Jazz grade is pretty damn biased. How they can give Yick Maddleman a B+ but Sloan a B despite the fact that their Big Three (Boozer, Kirilenko, Williams) are even more injured than we are is a joke.
