I think our bench unit is solid and is better than some starting lineups in the league.

    First unit

    Brooks
    Martin
    Battier
    Scola
    Yao

    Second unit

    Lowry
    Lee
    Budinger
    Hayes
    Miller

    Our third unit

    Smith
    Taylor
    ???
    Patterson
    Hill

LOL even with those guys I don't see how the Celts have a better bench then us. JO is washed up, Bradley's looking like a bust, West/Wafer/Nate Rob are all pscho and extremely streaky. Lowry, PP and C-bud alone is better than that bunch.

The only bench comparable is the Lakers:
    Odom
    Matt Barnes
    Fisher
    Machine
Derek Character (who's one of the underrated rookies this year)

Now all Morey gotta do is build one of the best starting lineups by next off season, while maintaining the best bench, somewhat.

I think it could be one of the better case scenarios considering that we don't know Yao's foot is going to react NBA ballgames. Taking into consideration the fact that at one point, Yao's injury was labeled as career ending, I think the author's tempered optimism is warranted.

    I have to disagree

    Bench Match ups...

    Lowry > Robinson
    C.Lee/Taylor > West/Wafer
    Budinger > Daniels
    Hayes/P.P.= Davis
    Miller/Hill < S.O./J.O.

Rockets have en edge off the Bench IMO

Poll on NBA.COM "Which bench is the deepest in the league?" Rocket's not in poll.

There's a poll in nba.com right now that asks, "Which bench is the deepest bench in the league?" and the Rockets aren't even an option on the list of teams on the poll. The four teams they picked on the poll are the Suns, Magic, Mavs, and Bucks...

    Uhhh what the FUNK?

    POLL

    Results:

Which team has the best bench?

    Suns 11096 - 43%
    Magic 8254 - 32%
    Mavs 4993 - 19%
    Bucks 1517 - 6%

Media attention is overrated. The more underrated you are, the bigger the achievements. EX: 22 game winning streak. If Heat went on a 22 game winning streak, no one would be surprised.

Suns DO have a very deep bench.

But no Rockets? What the Funk indeed.

Rockets have to be the in the top 3 or 4 deep teams.

Also...the poll question was "Who has the best bench in the NBA" not the deepest. There's a difference.

Who is on the Bucks bench? I don't think I can name more than 3 players on that entire team.

They actually got a pretty nice bench. Salmons or Redd, Chris Douglas Roberts, Jon Brockman, Larry Sanders, Drew Gooden, Carlos Delfino, Keyon Dooling. They can make some noise in the playoffs.
