I'm telling you, Courtney Lee is gonna be a treat to watch. Dude can just flat out score and defend with the best of them.

I hope he gets more playing time and lets Martin rest up for the playoffs.

Rockets Nation knows we hve the deepest bench in the league. Our bench kept us in the game and in a handful of games they put us in the game. Kyle is our spark, he's the best backup PG in the League.

Agreed. I like that we are considered the deepest team in the league, but 50 games? Two seasons ago I think we managed to win over 50 games (like 54 I think) and that was without Yao, T-Mac, and as w/o as much depth as we currently have. I see us winning 57 or more games IF NO MAJOR INJURIES (fingers crossed)

See this is what I don't get. What do you base this on? He was certainly not a scorer in New Jersey or Orlando. If you look at his per 36 minutes stats he was the 8th best scorer on the Nets team. He was also not very efficient.

I'll be happy if the guy can just hit some open 3's, but I'm not expecting much else.

Basically we have the same team that won 22 straight games with Martin assuming the McGrady role. Plus, the supporting cast is 2x's better than the one we had then. I predict a 15+ game win streak.

No doubt, we have the deepest team and the deepest bench.
We also have the highest paid bench though....

This writer is kinda contradictory, though.

Another poorly written article, brought to you by nba.com

Our old friend Blinebury occasionally writes an interesting piece, but that aside, Sekou Smith and Shaun Powell suck, and David Aldridge is not much better.

That aside, the Blazers have a better bench than us, as do the Celtics, Lakers and Nuggets.

Well, at least, I agree with the conclusion of the article; I think our second team is very talented and is going to outscore and outdefend most second units. All have been starters or could be starters. They may be the difference for the Rocket's season.

Name five people on the Celtics bench. Then tell me how the heck are they better than our bench.

    I'll be waiting.

    Good eyes.

I think the Rockets part is true of course. :)

I think 50-52 is a pretty accurate estimate for our win total. But I wouldn't be shocked if we win up to 54.

We play in the West. An 8 game improvement would be fantastic, thought I'm not sure that 50 victories is enough. The Rockets will probably need to win around 55 to skate in.

Deepest bench not really the same thing as best bench.

Saying that, I think the Celtics will have issues with chemistry (West, Robinson, Wafer) and age (Shaq, Jermaine)...

We don't really have any bad attitude players and most of our bench, except for Miller, is still young...

Funny how you mention Miller yet you fail to mention Brooks.
Miller isn't here to make the team better, he's just the veteran presence who can do small things for the team here and there. Kinda like Deke.

Umm... he was saying those guys were added to the team we had last year, the one that won 42 games.

He's pointing out the people we added vs the people we lost.
