Yeah m it was awful and completely unproven to start the season but Morey has solidified it with the acquisitions of Brewer & Smith - Just too bad they had to let Black go because I think he was outplaying Dorsey. He'd be very useful right now with Howard out.
Many CF'rs also thought the same thing. Albeit the young or unknowable ones. Lin = (+1) addition by subtraction Asik = (Neutral) Never not utilized to his full potential so in that sense, he was easily replaceable. Parsons = (+.5) Fully replaced by Ariza. Arguable his defense is more valuable than the loss of 1 PPG. Looking at it that way, the results are the results. Now we have Brewer. Jason Terry has been massive for us too. Without him, we would have been playing a rookie at PG (also started a couple weeks for Bev) resulting in negative play rather than neutral.
A- is good considering our injuries and players we've added. The concern I have is that teams like Mavs & Spurs have been resting their best players and incorporating a more balanced attack. We on the other hand have been running Harden full throttle. Our bench hasn't been as useful as I'd like them to be. I wanna see us call some halfcourt sets to get guys like JT, Smith & Brewer more looks. We Harden goes out we look terrible when the game slows down. Also Dwight NEEDS to give us more on offense. His offensive output this year, is as bad as Harden's defense last year, no effort
Their best players are old and on the decline. Harden is young just entering his prime. Dirk Averaged 36.2 mins/game in his MVP season which is exactly what Harden is averaging this year. In between 03'and 07' Tim Duncan averaged around 35 mins /game. I dont think Harden is being overused as far as minutes per game. Having said that he does have to initiate the offense every single play..will that lead to any extra wear and tear? Only time will tell
How could josh smith Blow up in our face? We paid him nothing and his contract is up at the end of the year. And yeah dmo has started half the year he's not a bench player anymore, give him a break.
