Well I guess that's the difference between Chinese and Americans........ When we write our blog (which is a form of diary, anyway), we often mention good and bad times and things we spent and did together with our family or pals. I know it's not big deal that TMAC in his blog was all the time in the I-Me-Mine mindset, and therefore did not mention anything about Yao Ming, who we all thought they have become great comrades/buddies both on and off the court.
The thing was TMAC said he would lure Yao Ming into shaking his booty or doing some dance steps on that wild wild Friday night party, which was supposedly pretty exclusive that not that many media/press reporters were invited, and therefore no photos and coverage on the newspapers/websites. Obviously everyone of us will be interested to find out whether he was successful or not, and how did Yao Ming did putting on his dancing shoes. So, am I over the line, or am I asking too much that I expect TMAC to write something about this on his blog ??
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. If the party is really wild as you claim, writing about it could well make Yao's girl go Joumana on his ass.
You have to look at it this way: Do you think the average fan cares what Yao Ming did at some booty party? There could also be other possibilities, such as maybe Yao Ming wore or did something embarassing at the party and T-Mac is being a kind friend so he decides not to put it out in public. What do you expect him to write?? Oh yeah, "Yao Ming is a true disco guy, he can shake that thang thang like Beyonce!" His blog is on the NBA site. There are 29 teams in total. 1/29 of fans who visit it are Rocket fans. 1/48 are Yao only fans. 1/100 are hardcore Yao Ming fans such as you who would want to know that sort of thing... you know what I mean?
Both. You are the definition of a true YOF. Anyways, maybe T-Mac said all that Yao dancing stuff just to tease. I'm pretty sure Yao was chilling the whole night and not shaking his booty. Calm down dude, like some said, not everything is about Yao. Everybody does not hate Yao or is out to get him. You just need to relax and ease up on the Yao sensitivity.
Wow- I have said time and time again how much we appreciate all that you do in posting this information. But I agree- you're way too obsessive about this Yao Ming off-the-court stuff. Vicarious experience can be dangerous.
Okay..... In today's Adidas sponsored media activity at MGM, Tracy McGrady told the reporters that Yao Ming did show up at his Friday night party, but no one could force him to dance. http://sports.sohu.com/20070218/n248298731.shtml Tracy McGrady also added that he and Yao Ming are personally great buddies off the court, used to make fun of each other, and he likes the feeling of being together with Yao, except that he does not like Yao Ming too indulged in his computer games, and not willing to go partying with him.
Ah, thank god someone found a recap. Hopefully later on today we can get a summary of Yao and McGrady's brunch experiences.
I am a huge yao fan, but I wouldn't expect Yao to spend his interviews talking about t-mac, or Head, or alston or JVG or mutumbo. How would you feel if a mutombo fan got angry that yao didn't talk about deke in his interviews? Likewise, I expect T-mac to just talk about whats on his mind, if he doesn't spend it talking about his teammates, I don't blame him. Honesty is best here.
Ok, I am a huge Yao fan too, but come on, this is basketball game, it takes 5ive, you gotta love this team not only for Yao but also for his teammates, thats to say, you who love the tree love the branch. BTW, Tmac didn't have to say something about Yao, even if he did, so what? you wanna know the friendship btw Yao and Tmac, wait and see how they work together on the court after Yao come back. And i will say it again, you love either Yao or Tmac, you gotta love his teammates, love Rockets, it takes 5ive!
Thanks for the updates, but i think you are taking it too far. Tmac is an adult, not Yao's boyfriend... Is he suppose to talk about Yao every single interview? Its his time to get down and party, chill man.
Hey....it is NOT an interview to start with. It is a blog (which is an electronic diary) that he wrote. In Yao Ming's posts on his official website, he often wrote about his pals/team mates... e.g. Liu Wei of Shanghai Sharks, Mutombo, Battier etc. Alright, chill down. NO BIG DEAL that he did not write anything about Yao Ming in his Friday night party. After all, Yao Ming showed up in his party, but did not dance, and there was nothing special to talk about.
