First `lather to mvp' segment this season. Our James, is in top 3... I'm glad he's getting recognition also for his defence. Spoiler http://www.nba.com/2014/news/featur...anthony-davis-leads-first-rankings/index.html I hope he keeps it up, and at least end up in the top 5. I think this year he deserves it! He's been great for us!
Awesome. If he maintains 27/7/7, a def rtg around 95-98, and the Rockets keep winning, he's going to be a legit MVP candidate.
I'm normally not a fan of Sekou Smith, but IMO this was a pretty fair assessment for the best players so far in this young season
If the Rockets finish 1st or 2nd seed in the Western Conference and Harden maintains those numbers, he will probably win MVP. The Spurs are being lazy and the Clips are sucking, which opens a window for the Rockets to be in the upper rankings.
Sekou wrote almost the opposite two days prior. Davis won't be an MVP candidate because his team won't make the playoffs. He is basically Kevin Garnett in his prime without the ability to create his own shot. It is getting better though. Being only 21 bodes well for him. He should be top dog in a few years.
Yuck Sekou Smith. He's horrible. He's the blandest and most uninteresting "analyst" in basketball mainstream media.
I wouldn't say the Spurs are being lazy. Pop is playing smart. He's benching his old men so the younger guys can develop. He's not too concerned with the win/loss column, considering the watered down talent through the league. He knows its very likely that one of his old men are going to take an injury, so he's prepping the team for when it does happen.
