    No thanks!

I'd rather have Brad Miller or even Ratliff

or just give Hill more time @ center

    or...

    whatever, just not Shaq

    thanks!

shaq won't be coming here unless we score bosh or Lebron. There's no way he doesn't end up with a contender. The guy is drooling over getting another ring.

Yeah, bring Shaq here. He can join Mutombo as another All-Star center with a career-ending injury. Yao might join him and make it a trio.

I wouldn't want Shaq here if he played for free. While I agree that we need a backup big, I would think that we're looking for someone who's game is a polar opposite of Shaq's. We need a big that can play above the rim, set picks, block shots, and knock down a midrange jumper. Most importantly though, we need a backup big that can run the floor... i.e. NOT Shaq.

I don't think Yao's backup should have game that's anything like Yao's. The two should compliment eachother, rather than immitate. Think about Brooks and Lowry and how drastically different their styles are. That gives us a huge advantage and allows us to dictate pace based on our opponent.

We need that 1-5. We obviously have it at the 1. We're developing that at 4 (Scola/Hill), and every member of our wing rotation brings something different to the table (Although Shane and Ariza are a little redundant for my tastes).

LMAO at folks that wanted brad miller but say no to Shaq. We're talking about a guy that still commands double teams and is a great passing center. It means we would always have an inside presence. Teams can't rest when Yao goes out because Big Shaq is subbing for him.

Don't give me that look. The only thing this team was missing last year was an inside presence. :)

as a 15 min a game back up. I cannot see how it would hurt. Heck him and Yao splitting time could help both in the health department.

I like the idea but don't think Shaq would take very kindly to coming off the bench.

I'll take Shaq any day of the week as a backup. He's still better than half of the starting centers in the league. You can't play off of him which is more than I can say for most centers.

    Bulls--t.

There are three terrible defenders in pick'n'roll situation in the NBA among centers: Yao, Shaq and Ilgauskas. And you want two of them? Just remember how Phoenix swept Spurs and forget about it

Shaq is as mobile as a tree now.

On offense, the only thing you can do with him is dump it into the post and clear out and hope he makes something happen. This used to be a great play, but it's 2010 now.

And I guarantee Shaq will sit out a decent part of the season with an injury, legitimate or not.

This is why you draft a big to learn on the job if necessary.

I think the idea would mostly be to bring him in to mentor the center or centers that we plan to get in the draft, hopefully.

how do you write "delusional" in Chinese?

    1) statistically Cleveland played better in the homestretch when Shaq was out of the lineup than when he played.

    2) Shaq is looking to ride the coattails of what he considers a contender. he went to Phoenix to play with Nash and Cleveland to play with Lebron. think of Shaq as the lowest common denominator American... you honestly think that Shaq believes that Houston has a good chance to win it next year?

    3) Shaq is never going to go hold the towel for Yao, or Dwight Howard. his childish ego would never allow that

    4) you think shaq would rather be big in China or big in the US? him winning another title will give him a bigger splash in a country he actually cares about

shaq's thoughtful and sensitive message to his Chinese fans that he actually gives a **** sbout them
