We don't need another skinny guard who plays weak defense.

If he's an addition to go after a "bigger name," it's all good. He doesn't immediately address what we need at that position.

I hope DM is looking at power fowards and centers that have been in the league for awhile, and not just rooks that have promising futures.

I, for one, do not wish to see the second coming of Stromile, 2 Sanwiches or Stanley Roberts. (Exaggeration :) )

It shall be interesting, or as Chuck would say, potentially "turrible."

Yeah, lots of players have to leave a team to get a chance to shine.

Petrovic left Portland and was great, Jermaine O'neal did the same, Dale Ellis left Dallas....

Sometimes players just need a place that suits their game.

I like Rudy and wouldn't mind bringing him to Houston if the trade price is right.

Blazers trade Rudy for #14 or #13!

    13th pick - George/Bradley/Babbitt
    22nd pick - Williams/Bledsoe/Seraphin
    34th pick - Williams/Armon Johnson/Brackins/Lawal

If we could land Geroge, Williams and Brackins in the same draft I'd be freakin ecstatic.

Right now, my wish list(realistically) for my Blazers is:
    1- Paul George
    2- Avery Bradley
    3- Elliot Williams
    4- Kevin Seraphin
    5- Eric Bledsoe
    6- Armon Johnson
    7- Craig Brackins

I love Crawford's game, and Stphenson's a little, but I doubt we go in that direction.

    False.

Chase is more fundamentally sound and has a better all-around game.

The only thing about Budinger is his lack of quickness. He'll always be a liability on defense and he's limited on what he can do on the offensive end (i.e spot-up shoot, slash, finish some fastbreak dunks).

Sort of how Reggie Miller was always limited by that, right?

Don't he and Martin have the exact same horrible defense? Isn't Chase outshining him? Portland won't give him up for free, so I don't see us paying for a redundant player. We won't even be able to give him the playing time he wants; he might easily bolt for Europe if we bring him on board.

Reggie Miller was a lot quicker than Chase Budinger. Reggie hit crazy shots Budinger would never even attempt nor should he. Not to mention he's a freaking hall of famer to be. Pretty lofty comparison. I like Chase as a role player, but I like Rudy in that role a lot better.

Would you trade Bud for Rudy?

Chase's quickness is just fine, people have been saying that all year and he was proving them wrong...all year....
