"Get out" is a good decision. I'll forgive you.

I agree JVG makes adjustments to his game plan like frozen molasses pours in the middle of winter. His best coaching is behind him now and the Rockets will go no where if they don't recongnize this and move on .

The NBA has changed Mr. JVG has not!

Seems like everyone wants him out except for the players. Sure... Van Gundy in the end lived and died with his regulars... but are the non-regulars all that effective?

There needs to be a change in player personnel with or without a new coach.

Bonzi got his chances... forget the off the court stuff, he was not that good when he was on the court.

Snyder got some minutes, too... but he looked lost, like a SG version of Stro Swift.

Span and Novak each had chances and were not ready. And dont' say he should have "developed" them more... the truth is NBA guys need to work on their individual game in the offseason in order to earn their minutes in the season.

Look at Luther Head.. he played plenty, but was he really that much better at the end of the season than he was at the beginning? Was young Chuck Hayes that much different in game 89 than he was in game 1?

I was thinking why Van Gundy managed to make the proper adjustment and managed to beat the likes of Pat Riley in NY but can't seem to make those moves as a Rockets... it's simple really, those NY teams had depth (partly as result of overspending)-- when you can send in Camby for Ewing to change the pace of the game, send in LJ to hit the critical 3. Here, with a team that as a normal budget, the Rockets only manged to field 8 useful players (and a few were marginally useful among these). New lineups were tried, but it makes a difference when you have Marcus Camby vs. Spanoulis..

I want JVG to go so bad, I am almost willing to take anybody for coach including Larry Brown though he would not be my preference. Somebody, anybody, needs to get a shot at developing the available players. Surely there is another plan out there. But Rafer has to go. Oh please, for our sanity, for the good of God and country, get rid of this guy. I will take ANY other starting PG in the NBA who shoots over 43%. Any!
