Parker is the better point guard if what you want from your point is mainly a beautiful assist to turnover ratio. He's done very well at becoming the primary focus of the Spurs' offense without being inefficient. Thus, he's favored by PER and so on. However, when you talk about the better player, Lowry rates MUCH better as a rebounder (duh), defender (duh), and (surprisingly given his recent slump) a bit better as a scorer due to his high # of threes. Overall Lowry [editorial warning]comes out ahead in both offensive and defensive rating, and in win shares, all of which are stats I prefer to both efficiency rating stats and raw stats.[/editorial]
