I know we played only one game in the SL but... SL main page Aaron Brooks, who scored 21 in his professional debut, leads the Rockets against the Mavericks at 6 ET. The rookie playmaker currently ranks in the top 20 of the NBA Summer League's version of the Race to the MVP. 17. Aaron Brooks (Rockets): 21.0 PPG, 1.0 RPG, 8.0 APG link
Woah...hold on their pal. Hakeem Yao Ralph If Brooks becomes a contributor at number 26 it will be a very good pick. DD
True, very true, any reason all those guys are centers? Who knows, he may bust, but from what I see I really like the kid. Hopefully he doesn't turn into to Sam Cassell and we trade him for an outdated superstar.
He didn't say Brooks would become one of the best PLAYERS we ever drafted; he said he could turn out to be one of the best draft choices we ever made. Big difference. Dream, Yao and Ralph were all no-brainers taken in the first slot.
Somehow, I don't feel at all threatened by this possibility. After all, the prediction to which you are referring was made after ONE summer league game. As Han Solo once said: "Good against droids is one thing; Good against the living is something else". I'll need to see him really doing something against the big boys (and at his size, they are ALL big) before I start placing him in the same league as Hakeem, Drexler, Rudy T and the other Rockets' legends.
so what you are saying is the whole world is against him? hes going to have a bigger chip on his shoulder then gilbert arenas
