Screw the union. Millionaire ball players who need a little club to protect themselves from their big mean bosses (some of whom are losing money from their basketball operations) completely make a mockery of the reason why unions were even needed to begin with. You know what's a real union? The ILGWU. Their members scratch and claw to get paid minimum wage while working in conditions that can border on sweatshop in some cases. That's a real frigging union. I hope the owners break the back of the players.
I'm thinking that decertification would lead to lower level players getting paid like $100k a year or something versus whatever league minimum is in place. IMO, doing this would benefit the top stars in the league while definitely putting a hurt on the middle and lower class of the NBA. You know there's gonna be a bunch of second rounders who'd be willing to play for like $75k a year just to get a shot in the NBA.
