How come no one brought up MJ's quote?

After a loss on his home floor at Chicago Stadium in 1993, Jordan said, "We have no answer for the big guy. It's a good thing they won't ever make it to the (NBA) Finals, because I don't think we could beat them."

And we of course did make it to the finals the following year. But Jordan wasn't there.

I'm not gonna say the Rockets would have definitely beaten the Bulls becuz MJ has that whole MJ thing goin on (he'll win no matter what) but it means something coming out of his mouth that maybe his bulls couldn't beat our Rockets.

Man ... If only his team had made it in 95. I would have shut up all the haters of Houston.

the bulls never had a true PG.

the Rockets had to play against Karl Malone, and Dennis Rodman, 2 of the best rebounders in the NBA "WITHOUT" a PF!! ;)

I'm glad our HORRIBLE PF can hit 3s at the end of games :D

Spurs Announcer on Horry "This guy is an ASSASSIN"
loved how lots of Rocket faithful rolled up to the horrendous Alamodome.

Personally, I think he kind of redefined the position to what you see it as today. Athletic, long, good range, fearless, VERSATILITY was his strong point at that time in his career. He was so light on his feet that the big 4's in the 90's couldn't keep up with him. He was one of the first 3/4's in the 90's that could have played today. I compare him to Cliff Robinson in his hay-day(he might have been the first solid 3/4)and Marion minus the rebounds. Also, his defense was underrated, taking charges, blocking quite a bit of shots. Add all these skills with his very very high BB IQ and clutchness and yeah I'd say he was a very solid PF when he was younger and older when given the minutes. If he would have played more minutes during the regular season with the Lakers he probably would have been a lot better but he was always fresh for the playoffs. I don't know if bulking up was the right thing for him at the time but it turned out to be a very smart move as he was able to play in the clutch against some very good 4's.

Thank you for the spurs game. To be honest I really enjoy watching Rodman play during his prime. Just incredible how well he rebounded.

The Bulls had Pippen as a "point forward" so they didn't need a point guard. Horry is one of the best clutch shooters ever..amazing how you see him hitting clutch shots in 1994 and then you watch him play 13 years later and he is still doing it. There is a reason he has 7 rings besides playing with 3 of the best centers ever(Hakeem, Shaq and Duncan).

I look at Horry and think he could have been a 20 ppg scorer. He is a great shooter still, he was very athletic and he had some good moves. At 6'8" he is big enough to play PF but quick enough to play small forward.

What would be even better is if someone made R2k-type-highlight-videos out of these clips :D

What a treat these videos are...I never got to see all of the final game against the Lakers in 1986. A couple of observations:

    * Akeem was incredible...all of those people saying that Amare Stoudemire is in the same league ought to be ashamed of themselves.
    * Mitch Kupckek and Maurice Lucas were grade A punks.
    * Allen Levell was awful. He makes Rafer Alston look like Tiny Archibald.
    * How tough were those Rockets! Nothing could hold them down.

Are there any videos of Game 1 and Game 3 of the Rockets/Jazz first round series in 1998 when the Rockets were an 8 seed and the Jazz a 1 seed? I'm looking for those badly. I'm trying to find Game 7 of the Rockets/Sonics series of '97 as well.
