This isn't that much of a surprise if the league starting to recognize Parsons. Even with Lin, Parsons is the 2nd best overall player on this team behind James Harden. Parsons is averaging 16 PPG while grabbing rebs and dishing out assist well, but what's impressive about him is that he has to guard the other team's best wing player every night and does a great job on them.

Its shocking how far he's gone from his years in Florida to his 2nd year in the NBA. During his rookie year, he was just known as a defensive lengthy player that has athletic ability but this year, he has added a consistent jump shot, putting the ball on the floor and being a playmaker also.

Seriously, Pau used to be a great player but now, he is declining fast. While Bang and Lin are incredibly young, they both are still improving and has yet to reach their prime while Pau has already passed his prime and he has been terrible the last 2 years. Its so obvious that he has decline from the playoff series against the Mavs. He seems to lost passion in the game, lost his confidence and dealing with his tendinitis.

Right now, Parsons by himself is way more valuable than Pau and he brings more to the game right now for his price. The Rockets team are a young and talented team. Trading away our young bright players for an aging declining player isn't going to help this team but hold them back. Also, Pau is due 38 million on his contract and for his production and the players we would have to give up for him, its a no brainer that the Rockets just leave him alone.
