The incorporation of an iconic skyline in a logo is an inherent advantage. Only a few cities have this too (Seattle, Chicago, New York, San Fran are pretty much it for US cities) every other US city if you used their skyline, nobody would be able to tell the difference if it was Memphis or Minneapolis.
Yeah I hate those colors on Texans logo. But some of them look pretty cool. Specially that Grizzly Bear with a beard.
