Jefferson is dismantling Hibbert, it's just sad. Although tbh, the Pacers are seeing some pretty lame scheduling by the NBA right now, 4 games in 5 days, 6 games in 9 days, 9 games in two weeks, just nuts.
thanks guys. after having the TMac tag for so long, feels nice to finally win one. But I think we all now why I won this draft. Having the almost undoubtedly best player in NBA History made this draft unfair as my team was simply unstoppable. I'd just like to thank him for getting me a ring. Thanks again, GOAT Spoiler
I'll join any of these I guess, though I'd love to try something new. Maybe that auction idea, but that would take someone putting some serious effort into organizing it. Or maybe a 90s+ draft. Basically like the all time primes draft, but only the 90s and 2000s. If it's lets say Larry Bird, then it's not really his true prime, it's those last few years starting with 1990-1991. Or a 2000s draft.
I might be willing to commish the auction if we get the ideas clear We'd have to figure out how bidding goes though. I think something involving blind bids would be cool
Blind bids would be cool. No stress, no need to drop everything 5 minutes before the deadline because you can get overbid, no time zone issue. I guess we just mail you our bids and that's that. If you think there can be drama about your own bids, then you can send your bids to one of us. Or better yet, to someone who's not taking part in the draft, like bluffkin or such. Re specifics, I guess we have to agree what players first. Current, all time, current primes, some period, whatever. Then if it's current, you can just say "24 hours to bid on all players from the Southwest division", and we all send you bids on Harden, Marc Gasol, Duncan, etc. Then you post results when ready, and then another division. If it's lets say all-time, then we could make batches of names. Or it could be "all players who entered the league 1980-1989", "2000-present" etc. Everyone has lets say 200$ total. That's for all the draft. If your money run out, you can fill your roster with players that no one picked at the end of the draft. Also, I think everyone should make sure they don't overspend. Like, no one should bid 150$ on LeBron and 100$ on Wade at the same time. Well, I guess that's up to you, but I think if people can overspend, and then pick who they really want, then it will make your job calculating that much harder and slower.
Ahh, and I think at the end of all rounds, we should have one last round for all players that went undrafted. People can spend their last few dollars filling out their rosters. So for example, R1 Southwest R2 Pacific R3 Northwest R4 Southeast R5 Central R6 Atlantic R7 Undrafted And then once that's over, it becomes free for all, no bidding, no $, everyone can fill out their rosters with whatever is left.
I think its better to have quality players mixed up. It will be interesting if someone waits for their superstar and either gets screwed or gets a star for super cheap
