Think it came down to him having three point forwards that need the ball starting. Don't really see what offense he would run or succeed in, as all three are not elite in spot up situations or playing off the ball. RedN on the other hand has a clear concept and structure, plus better spacing.
if you guys want to do this "pick a player from a team you beat" thing, you should probably start doing it. or not do it. because this might take an extra day before each round.
Detroit wanted Dantley--check their record before they got him. He helped lead that team to the finals, losing in 7 games. I don't think him hijacking the offense should be construed as a bad thing--he was highly efficient. He definitely wasn't a great defensive player, though--that is the knock on him. I don't think you have to shoot 3's to have good spacing. BEST SCORING SEASONS SINCE NBA-ABA MERGER Player Year Usage TS% Adj. I didn't even look at the names before voting--I looked at the roster and then picked. He had a way superior backcourt and you had a way superior frontcourt. Dr. J and Lebron basically are equal talents, depending on how you look at it. Gervin made the difference for me, honestly. I just thought he would torch your team, and I liked how his team fit together. I wanted Eaton for my team as well. It was very close, though. I could see how it could go either way. I thought the Rednation v Maloe matchup was the closest of all of them. I really hated picking one of them--I wanted to just toss a coin.
His true shooting really is insane. Especially considering he was a guard/forward who didn't take 3s... I just don't think he impacted his team as positively as his raw numbers appear. He's still a really good player. I probably do overvalue 3 point shooting. These all time drafts are hard to judge because of all the stylistic differences.
Really don't know whether to keep Tim Duncan or KD if we are actually doing this keep one thing. KD and Jordan would be so unstoppable, but my biggest weakness right now is FC scoring… maybe I could start KD at the 4 with Paul George at the 3? Thoughts?
Replace DeBu with Duncan IMO. You'll have the best players at two positions (SG and PF), no questions asked.
it won't matter, your opponent gets to replace Michael Cooper with Scottie Pippen, so you've already lost. just get a drink and relax.
I wouldn't mind picking up a Jason Kidd or Kevin Durant lol. I'll pick someone from bigm when/if jamers and horry pick
Ill grab Oscar Robertson for Bob Cousy I think ill let harden reprise his role as the 6th man and have Big O play the 2 since he is 6'5. CP3 Big O/ James Harden Big Game James/ Alex English Mailman Moses/ Jermaine Oneal
Alright I dig the idea absorbing players to make it fun! jvu Steph Curry / Kobe Bryant / Ray Allen Scottie pippen /Michael Cooper Dirk Nowitzski Bill Russell/ Alonzo Morning
