the NBA has a rule where if u can finish the game before the ASG and play in the game that proceeds it, u MUST play in the ASG or face punishment (suspension). kobe didn't want to play, but he had to.

Alot of the greats won the all star MVP and went on to do great throughout the rest of the reason, well higher than the rockets ever did.
