Wow, that dunk by Nate was sick. Andre Idogula's two dunks were two of the more creative dunks I've ever seen. Pretty damn good dunk contest, at first it looked like it was going to be a dud
alright, this is getting embarrassing. dude should just throw it off the backboard and stop trying to go between his legs.
man i wanted AI to win but damn, gotta give it to nate. we'll see AI come back to take whats rightfully his. and uh...josh smith sucked this up this year.
nothing against nate rob. he was great. but he shouldn't have won. andre pulled off 3 amazing dunks, and the one off the back of backboard was one of the most creative and difficult dunks i've ever seen. nate tried 14 times on that last attempt! how in the hell can you give that that high of a score. great dunk, yes, but 14 tries???? no way. great contest though, the last 2 years have been excellent.
I suspected that this would happen but I'm still surprised it really did. Nate was inevitably going to get his brownie points because he was short. Spud Webb did when he was in the contest those many years ago and Nate got them this time. AI probably got screwed but even the Dunk Contest is about momentum and Nate Robinson had the swagger and the momentum needed to get a win. Judges vote on impulse and how they feel at the moment and at that moment everyone was pulling for the little guy. The cards were stacked against AI so he never really had a shot at the end unless he did a really incredible dunk.
It was Kenny who changed is score. He had a 10 up but brought it down and raised a 9 i think so dont quote me lol. I just thought up a dunk. Shoot it from the 3-point line make a swish and as its falling out of the net catch it and do a winmill or something.
except for letting nate win over AI, how was it an embarrassment to the nba? nate had 2 really good dunks and AI had 3. it was a good contest. and geeimsobored, how did nate have momentum after missing 13 times in a row. i still can't believe they rewarded him with a 47 for a very pedestrian dunk except for the pre-dunk ball stuff. and talk about crazy, a 5'9 guy wins the dunk contest and a 7'0 guy wins the 3 point contest.
Indeed he has. It is so damn funny to hear. Here are my comments last year, and he pulled the same crap this year! http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=1727739#post1727739 The whole thing is a sham. Dirk wins the three-point shooting contest when he never should have even made it past the first round. The dunk contest has a staged dunk-off, then a guy who gets 42 tries on one dunk wins with that dunk. Pathetic.
I missed the 3 point shotting contest. Just curious....why shouldnt he have made it past first round? What happened?
Buzzer sounded, ball was still in his hands, he made it, it shouldn't have counted, he needed those two money ball points to advance, no instant replay, if I was there I would have thrown the red challenge flag and won.
