Well deserved for everyone on that list. Coaches know best. Kobe ties MJ and Payton for making the most All NBA defensive 1st teams with 9

Is CP3 a shut down PG?
I never paid much attention to his D.

    My all defensive team:

    c- Howard
    f- Serge Ibaka
    f- Paul George
    g- tony allen
    g- Mike Conley

Mike Conley is vastly underrated as a defensive player. He has already taken Tony Parker to school and now he is doing the same to Russell Westbrook.

    wut.

    My first team would be:

    Rondo
Wade or Allen is a coin flip.
    Lebron
    Garnett
    Howard.

I kinda forgot about Lebron. But I would still say that George's defensive potential is vastly higher than Lebron's is.

Potential, sure. I mean, he's a rookie. I'll admit I don't know a lot about George, but I am very skeptical that a rookie is already a better defender than Iggy, Wallace, Hill, or Battier. I guess you watch the Pacers then?

Is there an age limit to being selected in an All Nba team

From what your saying obviously you haven't seen him play, he guarded every opponent first option from Rose to Griffin and he played them well

And I don't how you can question James defense Miami has been a top 6 team in defense this year and he is there best defender. I am getting sick and tired of seeing Kobe in the All Defensive teams, we need an intervention really are those people watching the same games I am watching because Kobe is no more than average defensively

My selection would be like this

    1st Team
    Paul
    Sefelosha
    James
    Garnett
    Howard

    2nd Team
    Rondo
    Allen
    G Hill
    Chuck
    Bogut

Kyle is a great hustle guy. When he's at a frantic pace he gets players off their rhythm. But he ain't no lockdown defender... LIKE CHUCK.

lebron is an all-nba defender. he shut down iggy and paul pierce until pierce exploded in game 3. he is the best defender on a heat team that is top 5 in team defense.

    kobe is just wrong.

Funny how every member of the All-Defensive First Team is a really good offensive player. This award is pointless. Just a lifetime achievement award or another prize to heap on top of the league's superstars.

Lebron is the best wing defender in the league, Doc Rivers even called him a bigger Scottie pippin.
Even JVG thinks Lebron is the best wing defender in the league.

He did stop Iggy. Iggy had a horrid playoff run, so bad that the 76ers want to get rid off him.

LEBRON IS WELL DESERVED。 Probably the best defender in the league after Dwight Howard. I don't get why people think these days that great defense consists of great fundamentals. Well guess what? Who the $@#$ cares about fundamentals when you've got the tools and the athleticism to wreak havoc like LeBron!!!

But Kobe? Come on, if Kobe is on it I guess Shane Battier should be on it too. I mean they were both "all-world" defenders, right? Right?

    Reputation and branding too bs.

Chuck is too one-dimensional on defense. He's a great man-to-man defender against power bigs, but ineffective vs finesse bigs, can't block shots, is almost zero on help defense, gets abused by any sort of length.

Chuck is just a very good man-to-man defender against power bigs who only has a inside game.
