RUN RUN RUN the fastbreak. Tracy is our best finisher at the hole.......
Spread the floor with your shooting, get the ball to Yao......

If you prove to be legit than you will be our clutch (end of game) isolation player.........

Great, thats exactly how I played with him on 2K8, so I don't have to change my playstyle up. I was great with TMac and the 3 pointers, but I should be rusty since I haven't played 2K8 in about 6 months.

Do you know that if this 5 on 5 rank matches included or only player matches?

Oh god, every defensive rebound, it's completely hardwired into me: "LB" then "A" to pass to point guard, and from there it's to whichever wing is in better position going to the rack. Gotta get out on those breaks.

I say if the offense stagnates, in to Yao and then pass out of the (possible) double is the way to go... but early on in the shot clock, in general, I think I should keep Yao out about 13 feet or so, so Rafer/T-Mac can look for cutters for dunks. I can set screens off the ball toward this end as well.

I basically agree with this... whenever there's a loose ball, Mac should be the first one leaking out for an easy dunk.

Also, in the set offense, MOVE WITHOUT THE BALL, cut cut cut. Look for those passes on the cut from the whole team. He's such a good finisher...

Also, remember T-Mac has a "hot spot" (at least he did in 2k8) right in the center of the 3-point line. Remember that he'll hit them from there at a higher clip. Same thing with Battier in the corners.

Off-ball screens would be real nice.
Thing about Yao is he can pop and hit the midrange shot as well.....

We will have a huge mismatch with Artest at the PF spot, this should leave more room on the inside if we go 4 out and 1 in.......

I havent read the whole thread yet, but I'm assuming it's full now. If it is, I want in if theres a second team. I played NBA 2k8 through the whole season with 10 minute quarters so I think I'm pretty good at the game and a bit of a loser

Add me to the squad so we can have a few extras if not everyone is online. I'm on quite a bit as I'm a avid gamer, and I play a game of 2k8 every night.

I'd love to get in on this as well. I'm a long time NBA Liver, but am sure I could make the switch. I've played sports video games for over 10 years...any room for a guy like me?

The game is out in October, right?

No prob, Not everyone is going to always be on, but it will be way more fun if I am playing with clutchfans as opposed to the random online "Antoine Walker esque" chuckers.......

I'm really curious to see how this pans out. I used to play Live like this with my friends (would have played 2K but they didn't have player lock!) and it worked really well. Except, we were all in the same room and we obviously knew each other really well. Communication is going to be vital.

Also once on NBA 2k8 I tried seeing how much I could score with Kobe on hard with 12 minute quarters- got to 110 points :)

We should run a little ClutchFan's tournament before the game comes out to determine who is good and who sucks. I'm down for whenever. Someone wanna set something up?
