Yeah I think they usually have an update out by the first day. The 2k series has always been horrible with ratings though.
You got it... which really sucks as a Rockets fan, if only because Battier's 3-point shooting should be waaaaaay better... like 84 or so, instead of 71...
some of you need to get off Battier's nuts with regard to his 3-point shooting.... he just isnt a big 3 point shooter: he made only 65 3-pointers last year i know i know he is just a roll player... but our rookie role player (luther head) made almost twice that many Battier made about 0.8 3 pointers per game, which would have ranked 7th on the rockets roster last year in 3 pointers made behind TMAC, Alston, Anderon, Wesley, Luther, and Bogans
Battier's 3s: NBA 2K7 Rating: 71 Career %: 38.1 Career # Made Avg: 77.8 Last Year %: 39.4 Last # Made: 65 Rip Hamilton's 3s: NBA 2K7 Rating: 91 Career %: 32.6 Career # Made Avg: 32.1 Last Year %: 45.8 Last # Made: 55 So Hamilton has one freak year (making even fewer than Battier) and gets a 91 rating, and Battier shoots 40% his whole career and gets a 71? Battier should be at least high 70s/low 80s on threes, no question. They give a rating like that to a lot of players who shoot in the low-mid 30s percentages.
Ive been a 2K fan for a long time now. But for some reason I want Live to breakthrough this year. I plan on getting my next bball game for the PS3 and a return to good old NBA Live would be a nice change. The graphics seem better at EA. If 2k keeps its top notch sim style gameplay and Live doesnt improve Ill stick with it. Maybe its the T-Mac cover...
I wonder if the 24/7 mode is still in the game? If it is, I hope we're able to use our created guy in the Association.
24/7 is still in AFAIK. I think I saw something about it on one of the recent preview videos I saw for it. edit: I think it was from one of the following previews (GT Preview video, or IGN Weekly 24...maybe even both): http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?fs=1&id=2743 http://media.games.ign.com/articles/693/693580/vids_1.html
RC, What do you make of the Sept. 14th Nintendo showcase or whatever it is? Do you think they'll announce price, release date, launch lineup, even more than that? I read that they've already started packaging retail boxes. Could they be preparing for a surprisingly early launch? Like maybe late this month or the first week of October?
T-Mac has shot under 34% on 3's his last 3 years. I know it's mostly because of the shot selection, but it's hard to justify giving him a great 3 rating.
I'd expect a price, release date, and maybe a rough idea on what the launch lineup is (how rough depends on when exactly the release date is). If they were somehow able to keep some secrets about the Wii, they'll mention that as well of course (maybe more details about the Virtual Console and other online info too). When it comes to announcing those things, they really don't have any other options after the 14th, so that would be the best time and place to do so. They could very well pull an Apple, and release it right then and there (or close to it...within a few weeks or whatever). Not sure how beneficial that would be in the console business, but it would be pretty cool. I wouldn't go around expecting that though (maybe hoping, but not expecting). It could still launch pretty early, although I'm not sure how long it takes to go from the packaging stage to the "ready to launch" stage. I've read it could still take close to 2 months to be prepared for launch if they started packaging now. I'm still leaning towards a November launch, but an October launch is a real possibility as well.
I tell you guys, if i wasn't married, I'd be all over this game. Only chance is the rare occasion to play a mate that's got it (well,06 at least) And I whup ass when I do...
