I will be, hopefully on steam like for nba 2k12. I liked it a lot better on the PC for some reason, and love being able to customize things (or hack for offline purposes) without having to go back and force between the xbox and the pc.
Yeap, and for some reason the feel while I was playing on PC was much better than when I played on my TV.
when i went to game stop to get NBA 2k12 at the midnight release everybody there was buying it for ps3/xbox 360 then me and some other kid were the only ones that bought the pc version. He told me that if he sees somebody buying a game for pc it means they like mods lol
I don't understand why people WOULDN'T buy it for the PC. Better graphics (because of higher specs on PC than Xbox/PS3) Mods Roster updates Gameplay mods Court Patches Almost total control. And for half the price of the console games.
1) You can download roster updates any time you want on 2kShare 2) 2k is primarily console based so the online community is more vast 3) Can't argue with you about the graphics, but console graphics are still great looking and certainly not a downfall. 4) Just about all of my friends that I team up with or join online leagues have a console, and playing with friends is really why I, and many others, buy the game in the first place 5) Mods are unnecessary, and while I understand why some of the gaming community enjoy them, many people dislike mods and the natural gameplay being screwed with.
Roster updates on PC > Roster updates on Xbox. Since, roster updates on PC from modders update accessories, player faces, and are much more in depth than 2K's generic roster updates that they put out. I'm telling you man, the modding community makes the game GREAT. If you just want to play with friends, then sure... it doesn't really matter. But if you want an authentic basketball experience with mods then go PC.
my friends think 2kshare is a mod but i told them thats not a mod so i showed them this mod of the pc rookies mod and they were shocked and was hoping one day the ps3/xbox 360 would do the same thing but i told them 2k for pc is better then ps3 and xbox 360 Spoiler
Listen...I'm not saying PC 2k gaming is lesser than console 2k gaming. However I'm it's certainly not better either. There are pros and cons to both, and it just depends on what you value more. If you value graphics, details, and mods...then PC is the way to go. If you value playing with friends and overall accessibility...then console is the way to go.
That's basically what I just said. Lol. You said you valued playing with friends, so I was just giving you my perspective on why I chose PC.
Yeah I'll downl.... buy nba 2k13 on pc Faster with stronger processors, less load times, more fluid movements, better graphics, CUSTOMIZATION, etc. You name it, you got it. Online play though may be a bit of a challenge though.
If you're implying that these people play "good" basketball then I don't know what to say and assume you're doin the same trash. Playin with guys that don't even try to play with realistic tendencies or situations or teamwork are annoying and do it to win in a virtual game. I don't see why you(saying "you" because your statement makes it obvious you are one of them or more than okay with it) are proud winnin in that lazy way(usin stars and super teams, offball-D, exploitin weaknesses in the AI, abusin moves that are harder to stop). Like 90% of the cats I met don't even know how to do the advanced dribbling or post moves because all they do is run side2side or pull off endless PnRs and give&go. They only use Heat, OKC, Bulls. That's "good basketball" to you? I say it's a sorry azz behaviour people do because they are overcompetitive in a video game and think their rank or wins count. They then use cheese because they don't know how to run a proper, realistic offense&defense and how to play as a team. Remember in 2k11 I played vs. a top 80 guy that was about to lose vs. me pretty hard, so he started only usin the spin dunk on.every.single.possession. When he still was about to lose he quit the game. The funny thing? He was on my friends list and still pulled all that **** off and quit, even though I used Memphis and ran a proper offense which relied on post moves, midrange and real offense. That's how messed up these guys are, they don't even try to adapt and cheesing is the only thing they can do. Tell a cheeser to use a bad team and run a proper offense with playcalling or realistic tendencies, and let him play onball-D. I trust you that person will get slaughtered 9/10 times. Like I said, I have no problem winning against these guys and was one of the top ballers in earlier 2ks, but I don't see the point in even giving someone like that a platform. If everyone would be like me nowadays and quit the minute someone pulls that ish off, cheesing would die or they would lose the fun because 8/10 quit against them. But sadly these cats are a majority, so there's no point. These guys ruin the online experience, period.
Why would someone who wants to win use a bad team? Especially if you suck? In 2k12 I played an association as the Bobcats so I have my quirks but I understand why people who aren't good do what they do.
I mean these cheesers say they are the best ballers but if you ask them to play bad team vs. bad team with onball-D and real offense they neer accept that offer. Why? Because they can't win playing fair and don't want to expose themselves.
Probably getting this on PC since I mostly play offline modes like myplayer and association, 2k12 was the first 2k ball game I've bought for PC and my modding experience was a lot of fun. That and it being half priced helps. Although I'm sad 2k won't be giving all-star weekend dlc to pc players but eeeh w/e it's just a nice little add-on to have fun with.. not a HUUUGE deal for me but still would've been nice.
