I just finished playing the 1991 NBA finals and I noticed alot of rubberbanding. I am not saying it is impossible to get a blowout becuase I blew out the 76ers by 20+ but the harder you work on defense to build a lead, I will see the comp shoot fadeways and contested shots that will go in or I will be passing the ball to Michael and someone would run out of nowhere and intercept my pass. If Michael goes cold, the Lakers will go cold, if Michael heats up, then I will see Magic setting up teammates or driving inside I finished 4-1, lost first game in overtime, won the second by 4, the third game by 6, the fourth by 2, and the last game by 5 points.......no matter how hard I worked on the D, and Lakers would keep it close till the very end also works in my favor too, when I go cold or take too many contested shots, the Lakers wont capitalize on my mistakes
My season on PRO has gone South. Yao is out for two weeks with a sore back and I am (11-13), 10th in the Western Confrence. I was in the playoffs with him as a 7th seed (11-10), but since have lost @ Milwaukee by 6, Cleveland by 7 and Sacramento by 21. Guess I should be happy to get the 8th seed at this point even though it is still early in the season.
** PLEASE HELP ** I have this game on PS3. Everytime I try to join an online league it freezes....same problem as 2k10...why cant i just join a league!?!?!
the rockets are very difficult to play with, my season is 6-6 and I lost Budinger for a couple weeks, I am so tempted to add the 96-97 Michael Jordan to replace the useless Kevin Martin
Just trade him away lol. My new Rockets team: PG: Brooks/Westbrook SG: Gay/Taylor SF: Richardson/Lee PF: Landry/Hill/Stromile Swift ( ) C: Yao/Thabeet
Budinger is HORRIBLE in this game. I can afford to be without him for the season, it wouldn't kill me. Losing Yao Ming, however, whole different story.
Just played my first Jordan challenge, "The Arrival". I got it on my first try but I was pretty cheap about it. It was tough at first but then I realized that all I needed to do was spam the isomotion and force myself to the basket and then most of the time the refs will call a foul plus Jordan was good enough to get an and 1 most of the time. I started off shooting jumpers etc, playing realistically but I wasn't going to make it to 63 that way.
So here's a question: I'm playing on Association mode and on the roster you can fix players' roles to bench warmer, role player, starter, and star. What difference do those make? I almost put my entire roster as starter so their moral won't dip. What difference do the roles make? I think I can have everyone as star and it wouldn't make a difference.
It changes their expectation of their minutes. Eventually. They'll all be unhappy because they all want 30+ minutes.
Thanks, that's a lot of help. What kind of minutes do role players, 6th man need though? I have role players play at around 16-18 minutes (which is only like 2 players haha)
Well first of all, minutes that are expected are dependent on two things. a) Their role b) Their rating c) Their attitude (Neutral, laid back, expressive, etc.) It kind of goes hand in hand, higher rated players want higher roles which means higher minutes. These are rough estimates that I have come up with, but... Stars - 90+ Rating, 36+ minutes Starters - 80+ Rating, 30+ minutes Sixth Man - 75+ Rating, 25+ minutes Role Player - 65+ Rating (but depends more so on their attitude, minutes are really random at this point, but a minimum of 6 minutes I suppose) Bench Warmer - 50+ Rating, (again depends on player's attitude) Prospect - Below 70 Rating and they must be either a rookie or soph, give them role player minutes All these values change pretty radically though, for example a sixth man might be content with 20 minutes, or demand 30+.
you obviously have not tried taking it inside with him, I usually get 2-3 dunks a game with the guy, he is a dunking beast
Does anyone know if the morale trick works in this game? The one where at first you put their role to bench warmer but then you change it to star, starter, sixth man, role player or prospect and their morale goes up heaps? I used that all the time in 2k10 and 2k9
No one responded last time, so I would ask again: is anyone else completely unable to trade anyone in during free agency in the Association mode? It makes no sense, and really messes up the team positional wise for me.
