Honestly, I've quit like 6 games. Frustrating as hell sometimes. Although, my last game seemed to be my break out game. Went from having my highest ever game (12pts) to suddenly scoring 25pts, 5rb,4assists, 2steal, 1 block game. Came out of no where. Don't know if my guy has suddenly gotten hot....or if it was because Richard Hamilton could barely walk across the court while guarding me (injured).
What is your rebounding stats? I've been working on Offense/Defense first, going to work on rebounding last. Four assists is pretty good, I usually score like 25-30 ppg with like 1 rebound and 1 assist, 0 steals and maybe 1-2 blocks. How do you steal in this game? My guy has about 60 in stealing by default, but I never try.
Not sure what my stats are at, not very high though. I usually get my steals from picked off passes. I try to bait the PG into making a pass, while taking away the passing lanes in the last second. Damn, I usually have a hard time scoring. Still trying to get the hang of iso motion crossovers etc, and taking advantage picks.
Great game. However, after playing it for a while now I can conclude that it's not just me....the CPU steals the ball too damn much.
I would disagree. I have yet to do a PG yet though... It's perfect as a wing and a big imo... Playing a shotblocking/rebounding/ "Eddie Griffin" Big has been way more fun than the SF...
I was messing around with Association Mode a bit. Cleveland seems suprisingly willing to give up its first round picks. Hmm. I wonder if the game programmed the GM algorithm wrong so that the Cavs virtual GM still thinks they are a 60-win team.
yeah, lol, I posted this before as well, got a 1st round for JJefrries. I took it! As long as I am not forcing a trade I wont view it as cheating. (only trade I forced was getting my NY pick(s))
this is tough. I'm playing season with the rockets. I would keep it close thru a quarter then just get blown out (by the lakers). And Kevin Martin can't shoot worth a lick in this game. his shot is terrible!
What are you talking about? It's pretty realistic Dan Gilbert in real-life thinks he can win a championship before LeBron does.
I have come to find out that the Rockets are the toughest team to play with for me because they don't have a guy who can slash and really finish at the rim.
In regards to K-Mart's shot. Use his elbow as a guide. I've mastered it (spent a lot of time in practice mode) It's difficult to perform shot fakes with Kmars shot, however, being that his release is so quick.
So, that's why the counter-proposal from the Cavs came in comic sans. Anyhow, in associations mode, I traded Brad Miller, Jordan Hill, plus both 2011 and 2012 First Round picks for Greg Oden (plus filler D. Cunningham). Then I traded Taylor and Jeffries for both of Cavs picks (plus salary filler). The Yao/Oden center rotation is good, but ridiculously fragile (durability rating 35 for Yao, 25 for Oden).
So I'm doing Association with the Rockets. We win a championship first year, but AB refuses to re-sign and leaves with the mood of "Disappointed" or something along those lines. I'm pissed cause I have no money to sign a PG unless their name is Smush Parker and no trade assets. Boo.
has anyone noticed that the rockets have a BLACK shooting shirt in this game? (black warmups) they look pretty bad ass! the first time the rockets have played with any black... nice!! hope it catches on... i WILL be buying one of those, fo sho! (assuming 2k11 is giving us a sneak preview of the real thing)

I think both of these issues were in 2K10 too. I did adjust the zoom in Turbo, though not sure it helped too much. Guess I could get used to another camera, but I don't really want to. I have a relatively large player (6'10), so I don't mind guarding bigger guys...or even smaller ones from time to time. I would guess dunk is more important. I know upping your dunk gets you new dunk packages (and in order to get the default package, you might need a minimum dunk value). For NBA 2K specifically, go with the 360. Slightly better graphics I think. Though online won't be free (could be an issue). For other games/features, pick whichever one you want. Just depends on what you like. Maybe need a new thread, or a link to an old one. They put in caps this year, depending on your position and style. Kind of sucks, especially since they didn't really make that well known AFAIK. Lot of people may have just arbitrarily picked a style, not thinking it would effect the maximum points possible in some attributes. I think Operation Sports has some videos on Youtube that address defense, passing, Isomotion, and maybe something else. Didn't really watch them too closely (didn't think much of them personally), but might be a good starting point. Don't even like the idea of DLC for a game like this. They probably wouldn't like the PC mods for NBA Legends either (see the NBA on NBC mod from Youtube earlier in the thread). Unless it was like Jordan Challenges, but for more legends. But then I'd rather they just went all out with that feature for NBA 2K12. I played more of the game today. Went through the Summer League with the Rockets, and played something like 7-8 season games. And I am not liking the lack of play vision, or play calling period. Thought it was maybe just a summer league thing or something, but nope, also in the regular season games. Pretty sure it was in NBA 2K10, but looks like it was dropped. Trying to figure out if there's a way to get it back, but briefly searched online, and didn't see anything about it. I'm basically just running around, not sure what to do. Ugly offense. And the post game stuff is getting to be annoying. Good idea, but not very good execution IMO. Should probably be like Mass Effect or similar games where you get to pick the words you want to say, not the style. I've picked an option and then when I listened to what was said, I thought to myself that this was definitely NOT what I wanted. Didn't really matter though. Also got injured and was told I could either play through it (5 days to heal) or sit (2 days). I chose to sit, but then realized I didn't miss a game because the team had 2 days off. Guessing if I had tried to play through it, I would have still needed another 3 days to get healed. Really need to have a schedule or something to help you with that decision (i.e., how many games will you miss, not how many days). Unless I missed that option. I'm still having fun with the game, but it does have some issues. Guessing Goldstein either got paid well, or he didn't really play the game (or both).
After I first saw them in the game I was hoping they were legit. I was disappointed to see in the first preseason game that they Rockets had all red warm-ups instead. However, if you notice in the game, all teams have 2 sets of warm-ups - one for home and one for road. The Rox wear red at home and black on the road. I guess they are waiting til the regular season to debut the black ones? Anyway, I looked around and found them on the nba online store. I too will definitely be picking one up.
