Ouch. I'm 21 games in and I went from a 38 to 58. I try to get at least an B+ on every game and pull all the objectives on the double xp games. Here are some things they NEED to fix in a patch. Multi-targeted players. Who am I supposed to guard when the cursor is on 2-3 players? I hate it when I'm guarding the person I'm suppose to be guarding, but another person gets circled/scores and I lose half a bar of XP because of it. WTF is this cheap ****? If I defend the ball handler, he'll pass it to the guy I'm suppose to guard and he'll score. I lose either way!! In turbo mode, I can't see the opponent handling the ball when their on the other corner of me(end of 3 point line). The camera will zoom at a weird angle and I have to pray I don't lose points because I can't see wtf is going on. Why does the coach sub me as a PF when I'm a SG? Seriously...how did they miss a bug like this? I've been subbed for PF/SF/PG and I had to guard centers too because the cpu went r****ded and guarded my guy forcing me to D the center. Why did my guy never dunk when his dunk rating was 45 and vertical at 70, but when I upped dunking to 46, he starts dunking? Seriously...wth? My last SG, he never dunked too, but he went berserk on me and dunked like crazy for two games and never dunked again. Oh, why am I missing half my dunks???? I mean, come on. Half of them??? Dunk at 50 = missed dunk 50%?? That doesn't make any sense... Alot of games I miss all my dunks when a cpu player was near me. He wasn't blocking, just standing near me and I'll miss. Oh...but when Dwayne Wade goes for a dunk against my 77 rating defense scrub, he does it w/o fail every time. I encountered a glitch once where it froze on the cpu simulation while my guy was resting. When I reloaded my data, I was set back three games. No idea how this happened when the game auto-saves before and after every game. Was pretty mad I had to replay the Jazzholes because it was so difficult getting a A rating against them. Other than these issues, I'm loving the game and the sound track. The commentary gets repetitive as hell, but you can turn it off under options.
Ya, the transition D is a pain in the ass. I'll pick one up, he'll be the right one. Then suddenly a teamate picks him up leaving another guy WIDE open and it says he's mine...and he scores....most likely a 3 pointer. I'm a SG too, and I've been playing PG, SG, and SF. Sucked having to guard small quick guys like Nate Robinson etc. But I did alright. As for the dunking....my guy has been dunking since the first game. Haven't missed a dunk yet, but have missed a few layups. My guy is like a 47 overall after 5 games or so.
I hate that too when you guard who youre suppose to then they say guard someone else. The penalties for stuff seem so much worse than the gains too. Im a SF and I get usually stuck at the 4. Cant really guard the hook shot and I lose so much points this way!
I played this the other night on a buddy's PS3. Now I must have. Question though, should I buy an XBOX or PS3 with it? I don't have either console so it'd be a pretty major decision. I've heard/read pros and cons about both for last few years, but I wanna hear any last things that maybe I've missed. Which one is more flexible with roster updates? Which one has better online play? Which one has smoother graphics? No jagged lines/anti-aliasing? Any other questions that I havent asked, but you think would be helpful to answer, please feel free.
Oh man....time for the fan boys to jump in. I don't have it on a console so I can't mention it. I have it on PC. Much cheaper... Fun game....although EXTREMELY frustrating at times.
I cannot increase the vertical of my Rebounding Power forward above 75, that is annoying. Does anybody know If I can never increase it above 75 or do I have to increase other skills forst?
i have both systems so no fan boy arguments here.. I personally would recommend the PS3 if you can only buy one. It just doubles as a bluray player which is awesome since more and more movies are coming out in 1080P bluray high def. Lord of the Rings trilogy is going to be awesome. It's also one of the best bluray players so for 300 bucks you get a awesome gaming device and a bluray player. Aside from that the online is free. I use to pay for Xbox live till I started cutting down on my expenses. Sure games like Halo and Gears are a lot of fun online but I never had time to play and take advantage of it. Ps3 has free online. Anyways that is just my two cents I'm sure some Xbox only fanboy will disagree. But I guess you can't go wrong with either system. I just think the PS3 is a bit better value.
In 2006 or 2007 it'd be a hard decision but now it's a no brainer.. Get a PS3.... at Toys R' Us lol..
I've been leanin toward PS3 for the above stated reasons, so thats nice that for the most part everyone has helped move me more in that direction.....why Toys R' Us? I walked into a gamestop the other day and they had a refurbed PS3 + God of War 3 for $269.....40 gig i think......Toys R' Us has a better deal? Also, would it be smart to wait a month for the price to holiday drop?
Can someone link me to some videos of a really good 2k11 player? I'm getting better but I'm still not sure exactly how to go about playcalling and executing some plays. When you guys play, how many of your possessions do you try to run plays and how many times will you just try to dribble/pass and try to find an opening?
Has anyone ever got traded to one of the teams your interested in? I put rockets 1st, Orando 2nd, and Portland 3rd and they traded me to the Jazz..... If you light up a team does that make them interested in you and want to trade for you? Cause thats what i did to the Jazz and now im on their team..
So I saved and quit after my 2nd game in Association mode and now when I try to load it just goes to a black screen. I press the dashboard button on my 360 controller, nothing... what the fuuuuuck.

If you're not gonna get a fatty with backwards compatibility, then spend a little extra green to get the latest Slim model. Way less power, quieter. The 40GB ones are pretty much the worst SKU you can get.
Dude, I rage quit like crazy. On my player mode, I always hate those ****ing turnovers. I also rage quit alot during ranked matches.
Ok some of the players from the all-decade teams that were dropped have profiles in the Hall of Fame *cough*Dream*cough*. Apparently they kept the rights for their likenesses, so maybe they're unlockable?
