I find it amazing that I'm the 6th man for the Wizards behind Wall and Arenas with a 43 overall rating....god they really challenge you.
I'm still pissed. I just don't see the point of marketing classic "teams" when it's just the 5 dudes that were on previous versions. For example, in past years I could have easily made the current "classic" Celtics roster that they have on the game, with Walton included. That portion isn't an extra benefit, and they marketed it as if it were. Thats my only beef. The game actually has less great players than in previous years. The offset for "the greatest" I guess.*
Turn up the difficulty??? LOL....my guy is shooting somewhere around 30% and for 3's it's around 15%...I don't think so. I guess it's 'cause I do all the small things. I always set good screens. I go for the offensive board. I always position myself well defensively, stuff like that.
My guy was drafted by the Grizzlies with the 28th pick, and subsequently became the 6th man. Then I made some poor choices in answering the press conference questions and was subsequently shipped off to the JAZZHOLES, where I took over starting duties at SG. Now I am averaging 13 points and 4 rebounds a game, thanks to passes from D-Williams, who is running the offense like an elite PG which is impressive because the teams played completely different.
I'm creating my player right now...I'm choosing my play style, and I don't know what to pick...I'm torn between Athletic and Point Forward...
This game is definitely harder than the last... Last year I got a legit 99 rating in about one and a half seasons... and I easily got to like 60 by the first month of the reg. season... I'm only at 46 now, and it's much much more difficult to get by your man, and not only that help defense is vastly improved in this game...
I've only played Jordan Challenge so far. I've got 4 complete. The one that is kicking my butt is the Drexler challenge. Holding him under 20 is tough! Late last night on my third try he got to 12 points in the first quarter and then I held him to 4 points for quarters 2 & 3. He went into the 4th quarter with 16 points and was in a funk and I was whipping the Blazers, MJ had 60 points. All of a sudden Drexler hits an easy shot off a screen to get him to 18 with like 5 minutes left. Nailbiter right? LOL Wrong. He goes completely insane after that with fastbreak dunks, constantly getting behind me on the defense and I can't any player to actually lock on him on defense. He ends up with 38 points.
thanks for the tip.. last year i could shoot like 100% with shaq.. but only like 50% with Kevin Martin..
I had him set to have Pippen as his primary defender, with double teams set to always and ball denial set. Then I controlled Jordan and tried to always be there with him to double. The problem was at the end of the game I started missing every shot and Drexler would blaze down the court and get off my screen so fast I couldn't get Jordan over there and he'd get a long pass for easy points right by whatever play was back on D. It was like the game was correcting for me being up my so much so I went completely ice cold.

ive been playing an association game all day. Have my rockets, simming a lot of the games (I always like doing that in sports games, being more a GM than the coach) but playing every once in a while. In like 2013 or 2014 I think, I squeaked into the playoffs as an 8th seed, then took them all the way to game 7 of the finals, where we lost. And then I got the number one overall pick because of a previous trade I had made, and I won the lottery despite being 7th. I let go of kevin martin that off-season though, and I guess for some reason that and some of my players getting older screwed me up, I did terrible. Then I got the number 1 overall pick AGAIN despite being 5th in the odds. Huh. I think im in 2016 now but i havent really kept up with what year it is
Someone convince me to complete the Jordan challeges? Can't you just take Jordan from a roster and put him on any team you want? With the Challenge, you just control him 24/7?
Argh.. I keep losing to the Knicks in the Jordan Challenge.. I get the 55 pts and the 55% shooting and the assists.. but I can't beat those ******* knicks.. Starks and Ewing just won't miss even with two hands in their faces in the 4th quarter. =/ I like it though, very challenging. I love this game...
Okay, so what are the bugs? So far I hear Association mode has messed up trade logic among other things, also the "sim" settings don't actually replicate realistic stats, not as closely as editing rosters/sliders. Also, something about sim logic, the favorite and/or home teams win too much. What else? None of those things sound that bad IMO. When EA has to patch something its usually critical.
The high socks in my game don't look right. Parts of them go black...looks buggy. I'm returning the game tomorrow.
