Man, played Rockets at home vs. the Clippers, 12 mins. Simulation Pro. I was getting it handed to me in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. I was getting pretty frustrated trying to run plays. I don't know enough of what I'm doing running and calling them myself yet, and when I set it to Auto Playcalling, it would call the same two plays over and over again despite who I had on the floor. Why do I want to feed Jordan Hill in the post every play? Down 15 early in the 4th and I said, "screw it." I turned Playcalling to Manual and winged it. I played my best offensive basketball the whole game, made a huge run and tied it up with under a minute to go. Clipps call a timeout then run a beautiful play to get Griffin a dunk. I came down, missed a shot, yao with the board and back to Brooks for the mid-range jumper which he hit to re-tie the game. They run a play for Kaman who made a tough shot then Brooks misses a jumper at the buzzer. Kaman killed me though with 18/18. Yao had 18/10 in his 24 mins., Brooks with 17. Can't shoot with Martin AT ALL. Awesome game so far. Just disappointed they didn't (at least in my one game) have any arena-specific atmosphere stuff for Toyota Center. They had the Rocket blasting into the scoreboard in 2K10, but they didn't have it in this game I just played. By the way, I changed CBud's shot to High Follow. It's the closest I can find to his real shot IMO.
Ok, hopefully there is just an error with my game or something. I popped that sucker in and went to the great game rosters, and each team had the starters and the same scrubs on the bench, as in the bench players for the 86 Celtics and the Bad Boys were the same scrubs. Did anyone else have this issue, because my great teams are missing all of the bench guys (Aguirre, etc). Edit: Just rebooted it...same issue. All of the great rosters have the same scrubs on the bench. James Smith, Robert Williams, William Jones, Michael Davis, John Brown, Richard Johnson and David Miller. All they are all rated 58 or below. Is this some cruel joke!!
I must really suck...I only managed to get my guy to a 42 overall rating in my player mode at the start of regular season.
Great game, just gain bad habits from the other 2k games will take time to get used to and understand the isomotion. But I CANNOT shoot with Kevin Martin to save my life! I plyed lakers in the association and lost by like 6 in OT. Anyways great game hope I can better Add me!
Played 3 ranked games. 1st game - he quit 2nd game - he forfeit 3rd game - i won and i'm still 0-0... is this happening to anyone else too?
Hey guys question: In my player mode can you choose what team you go to? I remember in 2k10 after finishing training camp you could go to another team does this stay true in 2k11? Also what position should I play to get playing tme on the Rockets or Celtics? Originally I wanted to play PG but Brooks and Rondo are way to good.
Just had an EPIC game online HOF against the Thunders that went into 2OTs! I unleashed White Lighting on this guy after he dunk on Kmart with KD. After that dunk Budinger went Lebron James on his whole team literally dunking everything and was draining crazy turnaround jumpers and stupid contested layups. Ended up with 38pts and player of the game with Cbud lol. Gonna have to see if I can do that again.
No, you go to whoever drafts you. Unless you go undrafted, in that case, I guess you can sign with whoever is interested in you. For the Rockets I'd be a SF and for the Celtics.....SG.
Yeah, very disappointing you only get the starters especially considering all the redundant Bulls squads (90, 92, 97, 98) and 98 Jazz. Really hope they make more classic teams available as downloads. Also, there's really no excuse not to have every single jersey ever in these games by now. Philadelphia and Cleveland each have 20 alternates, while New Jersey has none and Phoenix is missing their iconic 90s threads. Only nitpicking because the game is soooooooo agonizingly close to perfect.
Ok, I called 2K and spoke to a rep and have been reading some online forums, and it appears that the Classic Rosters (besides the Bulls) only have the starting 5. That's complete and utter bull****. How the hell can one play with the 86 Celtics with no Bill Walton, or the Bad Boys, Blazers or Sonics without their benches (it's what made their teams strong). The Pistons with no Microwave, Aguirre, Mahorn or Salley? That, combined with no Decade Teams, so NO HAKEEM, Big O, etc? If they weren't going to include full Classic Rosters then they should have been upfront about that. I guess they broke the bank for Jordan. I'm considering taking this game back, if it's possible.
Outside of the shooting percentages and all the crap that happened when I couldn't run an offense (TO's, etc), pretty damn good. I need to mess with the shooting sliders because the game ended up like 78-76 with them shooting in the mid 30's and I was in the 20's. LOL!! I played another game and bumped it up to Sim All-Star with all the shooting sliders on 50 and it played MUCH better. Game was still a tad low scoring but it looks like, if I bump up the 3pt slider some to make those more realistic, it will help the scores. Either that or increase the foul because the shooting %'s were pretty spot on.
I just got drafted by the Heat in the 2nd round. :grin: I guess Ill just have to break the all-time record for assists.
