True. I dont get how they averaged those out. With only one player above 80, it would seem impossible to get an overall 81.
Of course, I've seen players get 10 plus rating when they start hard in the season. Btw, it's nice they lowered rating, it was really difficult to track players when there was little rating difference between 90 plus and 80 plus ratings etc.
I know they lowered the minimum scores in 2k10 this year. Maybe that's why the ratings are so much lower.
I see nothing wrong with the ratings. Just look at it this way, 70s this year, were 80s last year and 80s are 90s, ect.
Kinda sad, I remember the days when t-mac, duncan and kobe all were 97's. Those days are long gone I guess, t-macs rating has dropped by 20. I feel like it should still be the same or higher, damn his laziness.
They prolly lowered it to coincide with the NBA2K10 draftime game that i got on 360. You can develop your own personal player that loads up into 2k10 so you can draft him... you basically put him through all the drills and what not to build your rating and draft rank. my player rating is at 41, lmao cuz i put myself in it and im only 5'9" and a defensive point guard plus i used my real ****** weight
Man, its gonna be hella hard 2 score with this team...... massively reducing the stats of all players is gonna make the game that much less fun...cos at the end of the day I just wanna bring the ball up and get the damn ball in the basket...and that means chucking up a shot within 5 secs if possible...
They put Chuck Hayes' Post Defense as a C+ and have Landry and Mensah-Bonsu at a C-? If you make a big mistake like that, the entire game is probably riddled with even more. The guys in charge of the ratings would have had to watch The Lakers/Rockets series. Actually, I do have NBA 2K9 and it's nothing but players dunking the ball everytime anyway. A waste of time.
Ha, I didn't even see they had Luis Scola at C- as well. That in and of itself shows they have never watched this team. Should be more like an F or a D-.
They finally fixed the inside collar of the jerseys. They had it wrong since ESPN Basketball 2K4... took them seven years, but at least they corrected it. Hopefully this game will have the alternates as well. Lowering the ratings across the board was a good idea. It was sometimes difficult to distinquish between superstars, starters, role players, propspects, etc.
Adjusted to 2K9 ratings ( 2k10 rating - 25 ) / 74 * 49 + 50 Yao Ming: 88 Tracy McGrady: 84 Luis Scola: 82 Trevor Ariza: 82 Shane Battier: 81 Aaron Brooks: 80 Kyle Lowry: 79 Carl Landry 78 Chase Budinger: 76 Pops Mensah-Bonsu: 76 Jermaine Taylor: 76 Chuck Hayes: 75
Apparently Ginobli is a better perimeter defender then battier: A- vs B? wtf I guess "perimeter defense" is mostly "steals"
After reading other team's rankings I feel much better about ours. I'm excited for this year's game. it looks like random players wont be incredibly cheap and (hopefully) everything around the basket wont go in anymore.
Yeah, I don't know why they just neglect to leave some players out, even projected starters. It took Chuck Hayes a few years to get in the game, even after he started for a near full season.
