Disagree Lebron can win with anything as long as they can shoot. And they had arguably the worst shooting team I've ever seen. Now replace Westbrook with Russell and Beasley. They got a good chance. Plus if AD gets hurt they have Mo Bamba to eat minutes and Vanderbilt is a solid defender. I think the lakers improved more than the Mavs and the Mavs got Kyrie.
Not this Lebron So suddenly because they picked up Bamba and Vanderbilt everything suddenly changes and they instantly make the lakers a playoff team without AD. No, the lakers being a playoff team depends on AD and whether he can stay healthy
Even the Heatles didn't win the ship in their first season. Takes time. Nuggets, Suns, Memphis, Mavs and Clips are teams I would watch. Lakers and GSW I think will just play for a lower seed.
no they are a playoff team cuz they got rid of westbrook. Literally had 45 million of their cap coming off the bench shooting airballs. Now they turned that into 3 serviceable players. It's a big move.
I don't think they will win the ship. I was just saying they'd make the playoffs. It's not that hard to do especially with the play in.
you don't have to sell me on westbrick making teams worse but lakers especially without AD aren't any good
Out: Eric Gordon - 1 year Team option remaining Garrison Mathews - 2 years remaining (2 mil per) Bruno Fernando - 3 years remaining (2.5 mil per) In: John Wall (Cut) - Expiring Justin Holiday - Expiring Frank Kaminsky - Expiring Danny Green - Expiring 2023 1st Rnd Pick Swap (better between Clippers and Bucks) 2024 2nd Rd Pick - OKC 2025 2nd Rd Pick - OKC Thanks for the help!
I'm sure him being on a vet minimum has something to do with this. But, also, the clippers all wing 5 out lineups are the best use of Westbrook.
Who said anything about them being good. They just have to be top 10 to make the play in. I think they can do that. I didn't say they were gonna win the ship. I just said they would make the playoffs. Which means they just have to jump Thunder, Jazz and Blazers. I don't think that's hard to do cuz those teams really aren't that good either.
Exactly right. AD is what AD is - his role needs to be performed to a certain degree. But it isn't Bamba and Vanderbilt that are going to make the difference, it is Beasley and DLo and whether they can create enough offence with their outside shooting. Lakers definitely improved, whether or not 2 games out of the play-in is too far back is another question (new combinations might take some time to gel). But the betting markets have them as 7th favourite in the West to win the championship. I don't think 2 games out of the play-in is insurmountable, especially with 45mill in new talent available
you said they'll make the playoffs. I mean playoff teams are considered good? at least that's what a playoff team should be. A Play in game isn't the actual playoffs to me.
next 10 games are tough. They got a little better, but still hard to see them making the Playoffs. Most teams above them got better as well
