Some respected members here are starting to get it (that's meant as a compliment, JV). Trump's election scandal is going to surpass Watergate, in my opinion, which led to the resignation of a sitting President of the United States. It appears to me that what Trump is guilty of, the subversion of our electoral process with the collusion of others in his campaign, and the aid of a hostile foreign power, will lead to his impeachment, in my opinion, unless he resigns first. If Trump is guilty of what would be an act of treason, he should end up behind bars.

First of all, you're only half right and lazy. Yes Russia is responsible but not directly and not alone. The CIA, working with the Russians, are responsible for all the espionage and creating the illusion of Russian connections, including "hacks" and blaming the Russians as demanded/agreed by the Russians. Simply CIA/Russia come up with and agree with this plan, NSA gives DNC passwords(or even data) to CIA, CIA send to Russia, Russia uses Guccifer who's just a cover, start the fake stories blaming Russia. Why, because they both get what they want. CIA destroy Trump and his admin and Russia can play victim which brings them relevance and allows them to dig in their boots. The sanctions...please Putin don't care about sanctions he cares about emboldened power and the sanctions actually help. They were part of the plan which is why they had to act before Obama left. You know many years ago I learned that USA and Russia can be friends but not publicly. They both understand that there needs to be a yang and yang, a good and evil, to create balance in this world. They both also want themselves to be the two responsible for that order instead of others. They know this and they work towards this.

Everyone else's theory including yours is just stupid, predictable, and boring. There is just not enough winners involved and it seriously underestimates American intelligence community. No one seems to care that all of this **** happened under the CIA's incapable noses without them knowing anything but after WikiLeaks suddenly we supposed to believe everything CIA says because they're suddenly very capable now. Please..., how stupid do you have to be to believe that. CIA goes from completely incompetent to genius in less than a couple of months okay....

    -edit-
One last thing to make it clear where I stand. I think I'm right and to add, CIA and Russia are winning and probably will claim victory eventually. Trump admin is crumbling. Russia is as relevant as ever, CIA is more prominent and respected than in recent memory, it's resetting very nicely for them both.

Conway was thrown out with nothing this morning. Must be frustrating.

I just want to share how funny I think the line from SNL:

I am Kellyanne Conway and I always get my Kellyanne Con-Way.

Speculate much? You get a blue ribbon for "Imagination."

P.S. "yang and yang" does not mean "good and evil." Neither does "yin and yang"

With all due respect, that's one of the most bizarre posts I've read in a while. You truly live in a fantasy world.

While I'm not a fan of Pence, I won't fear him nuking a country over a twitter beef.

I accept our soon to be leader.

Maybe President Trump should not have spent the campaign denigrating our intelligence community as being "laughed at" by the rest of the world or standing in front of their memorial wall to brag about his crowd size.

I live a full life in the real world, ipaman, although I derive great pleasure from reading fantasy novels, not the fantasies written here, your post being a good example, with all due respect. I live with a wonderful woman in a great neighborhood. Our house is paid for. We have a good income and are well set up for retirement. I have two sons, one a highly successful software developer at age 25, who has people working for him (a continual source of amazement for me), the younger son going to a major university and on the Dean's List every semester, and very politically involved, with a major in computer animation and a year to go. We have cars, we have TV's, I have a great sound system and hundreds of LPs to listen to, and numerous bookshelves filled with hundreds of volumes of both fiction and non-fiction, and a great dog.

It is a full life, ipaman. I hope you have a good personal life, as well, but your political acumen could use some work.

It is kind of funny those who are hoping against hope that this will turn out like Watergate....there's basically no chance of that. The Republicans run congress, they are not impeaching one of their own.....especially given that there's nothing to impeach him over.

On the contrary, "the deep state" did the right thing, and the administration failed to do the right thing. Evidently, "the deep state" tried to do this quietly, by informing the administration in private. But the administration did not care. So "the deep state" had to do an end-run around the administration in order to make the right thing happen.

A "theory" is supported by some empirical evidence. You got nothing.

The "deep state" was quiet about it. They told the administration. Administration 1) did not act on it; 2) fired one of the people who gave them a private heads up.

The administration made its own fiasco by not acting on the quiet info from "the deep state."

When you are guilty and a potential threat to national security, I don't care if someone rats you out......just like I didn't care when Hillary's BS got exposed. Don't be compromised by a foreign and hostile country and you won't have to worry about who may or may not be monitoring your calls.
